I was just thinking of this 100.000 we blocked out. Ofcourse it is shown in the chain. It is not a common practice. We have to make clear that it is not a premine anymore. It is a positive thing. The community decided to regulate. Would be nice if bitcoin could regulate the 170.000 bitcoins the FBI has Tongue Could crash there market some day.

Kinda thinking of making a good marketing subject of it. Someone has any ideas how to put it in words?  Grin

Ofcourse to much attention and explanation can also backfire.  Shocked

The 0.00000001 is when we made the fork.  Exact info the dev can give you. But that is correct.

What about changing thread heading to something like

Etoken Takeover. 100k Bank Blocked. Now Only 800k ETOK. New Wallet

Or something like that

I could do that indeed. Also made a text for the website. Need to do some grammar check. Never was good in that.

Also in the op you could have 2 columns under tech details one listing old details, one listing new details. So people can see at a glance and compare and see what improvements were made

A comparison sounds like a good way to put it. I will do that as soon as possible.

For those who have problems compiling on Ubuntu, and encounter this error:

Quote
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_system-mgw48-mt-sd-1_53
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_filesystem-mgw48-mt-sd-1_53
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_program_options-mgw48-mt-sd-1_53
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_thread-mgw48-mt-sd-1_53
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [etoken-qt] Fout 1

Open ~/src/etoken/etoken-qt.pro and change the line that says
LIBS += -lboost_system-mgw48-mt-sd-1_53 -lboost_filesystem-mgw48-mt-sd-1_53 -lboost_program_options-mgw48-mt-sd-1_53 -lboost_thread-mgw48-mt-sd-1_53
into
LIBS += -lboost_system -lboost_filesystem -lboost_program_options -lboost_thread

BOOST_LIB_SUFFIX=-mgw48-mt-sd-1_53
should become
BOOST_LIB_SUFFIX=

and delete the following lines

isEmpty(BOOST_LIB_SUFFIX) {
macx:BOOST_LIB_SUFFIX = -mt
win32:BOOST_LIB_SUFFIX = -mgw44-mt-s-1_50
}

I got this error and this was the fix.  Smiley

are you guys for fucking real? You can't fucking read the thread that it says etoken is retaken. you cant go through old threads, but you just fucking shouted premined scamcoin?? old dev abandoned the project, community destroyed his bank of 139K coins. So youre sitting on a fork. not the actual coin that was released before.

saying "it looks like a scamcoin" is totally different from saying something like "what a fucking scamcoin" which your post suggests i have intented to say. i have understood that etoken has been retaken and that there is a fork now with new a dev and so on. but i am still confused and i think i am not the only one.

so obviously right now there are 236k coins that are listed in the blockchain. and the first block of the blockchain contains a generation of 139k coins.
now you guys talk about some coins (~100k) that have been blocked. moreover the announcment here says that there is a new bank of 9999 coins, which i dont want to complain about as i think this is ok.
but i still havent found the answers to the following questions:
how many coins have exactly been blocked or to ask that differently what is the nummber of active coins in circulation right now?
in which way have these coins been blocked? i mean how can you make sure nobody can spend them, when they still appear on the blockchain?
it would be nice if somebody answers this questions. thanks in advance

I am on a tablet So i keep it short. 100k is blocked. This is done by blocking the known adress (location) where the bank is sitting. This is hardcoded (in the wallet). I can give more details but not right Now.

it would be nice if you read this thread first before asking questions that were replied half a dozen times already, you obviously didn't look for long...
. yes, There's a 100k neutralisation on original bank
. meaning there's 100k less coins in total (800k vs 900k)
. the adresses with these 100k coins are locked in the source, and I even already listed the said .cpp file from github right in this thread to reply that very same question some hours ago. Happy ?
