with bitcoin core there is now a bitcoin that claims in its name to be the earlier bitcoin
will we now see
bitcoin origins
bitcoin prototype,
bitcoin test
bitcoin trial?
that then claim to be the earliest bitcoin?
you can thank roger ver for that as the market will now further destroy the brand of bitcoin.

There are over 17 different coins with the name bitcoin in front and that started way before Ver Split off from Bitcoin Core / LN . Best advice look at the trading symbol and add the 2nd name so everyone knows what coin your are talking about. Since no one had the good sense to copyright the name expect their to be more coins in the future.  |

There`s no other version of bitcoin created earlier than bitcoin core.Every loyal BTC supporter knows that.
The problem is with the newbies,who might fall into "bitcoin prototype" scams.
I`m wondering what will the cryptocurrency market look like,if bitcoin and the blockchain were patented by Satoshi Nakamoto?

The thing is that nobody owns the right to call their new coin bitcoin. Because of this and all these freaking forks in place it may confuse public a lot. As they start learning about Bitcoin they see a lot of variations and read a lot about different opinions and just be stuck there at the end of the day, then they turn to the ethereum or some other altcoin because they see community is still relatively in good numbers and compared to bitcoin situation they can understand what's going on there. We are witnessing how bitcoin cash want to hurt bitcoin because of course guys who bought bitcoin cash want to profit big from this.

this is not an "strategy" and it certainly is not new way of begging for attention.
from early days there has always been only one thing: bitcoin, then they started adding some bullshit name after it and claiming their shitcoin is better: bitcoin cash, bitcoin gold, bitcoin core, ... are all the same bullshit.
they have also always created some shitcoin with a different name and then claimed it is better than bitcoin to pump it for a short time before it gets dumped hard and dies: Dash, Ripple, Paycoin, Ethereum, ...

Since there are no copyright or patent filed/created for bitcoin, anyone can make their own versions of it without facing some legal troubles, and that's the beauty and ugliness of an open-source project (well, at the least, you get better versions, lol). At this age and time, I don't think people would easily be fooled by shady advertising tactics, and looking at how these other 'bitcoins' were advertised, they don't stand a chance unless they go super deceptive mode and use bitcoin's price for their altcoins to lure people into buying it. Idk if that would warrant a legal action or not but it's fraud and deception nonetheless.

Since there is no rights with the use ofthe name bitcoin anyone can use it to name their new crypto. This is a strategy just to get attention. or confuse consumers specially for the newbies.
