Great!!! So it's the beginning of EBT's journey to it's actual price.. 2000+ satoshi....

No offense intended but I wish people would stop pricing alt-coins in terms of BTC (1 EBT = 2000 satoshi for instance).

I think the goal should be for the coin to stand on it's own.

With only 192 million coins now, we'd need each coin to be worth a few hundred at least before it becomes a mainstream economic player.

Think big!
192M? My wallet says me
{

The Final Proof of Work Coin Production was Reduced from 250 Million to 156.2 Million

Thank you for reminding us to update the OP.

We have updated the OP with the correct number of PoW coins, which is less than or equal to 156.8 million 156.2 million.

Many of the coins produced during the PoW stage were actually PoS.

We will do a calculation and report the exact number of PoW coins soon.

After 311,102 blocks, the money supply is:

  •  PoW Money:  156,229,653.740000 EBT
  •  PoS Money:      567,151.268542 EBT

The block counts are

  •  PoW Blocks:  248,482 Blocks
  •  PoS Blocks:   62,620 Blocks

Tired of waiting for the fleamarket site to launch.  I suggest all the other EBT lovers do the same:

http://miami.craigslist.org/brw/hsh/4470873856.html

Until people in the real world see they can actually get real things but need crypto currency to get them these coins will never take off.

If anyone wants to buy stuff for EBT and lives in South Florida check craigslist.

Sold it.  Actually got a buyer for BTC and we had a nice little conversation about coins.  He'd never heard of EBT, but at least he has now.

I'd recommend others do the same.

The devs have some plans for it.  3rd parties merchants are considering accepting it.  There's a flea market site where you can sell stuff for EBT being developed (cryptofleamarket.com/home.php - site's not finished yet, but at least it's being developed).  People are listing items for sale on craigslist for EBT.

So yeah, there are some plans.

Critical Wallet Update to Version 3.0.1

Please update to version 3.0.1 of the EBT wallet as soon as possible.

This release has a critical security fix as well as improvements to facilitate the management of large wallets, such as those used by exchanges.

As mentioned above, a major release with many more features is forthcoming.

Everything'll be in the full swing after the major update the dev is talking about....

Dear Community:

For security reasons, the EBT Development Team simply can't move forward to a new release until there is at least an 80% adoption of the latest client, 3.0.1, which is mentioned in an above post and linked below.

Right now adoption is between 30% and 40%. Please encourage anyone you know to upgrade their EBT client to 3.0.1.

Thank you for your support during this time of transition!

I've noticed other wallets have a trigger that pushed out an announcement when the wallet is opened that says time to upgrade to version x.xx or whatever.

That might help with getting a higher adoption rate of the EBT wallet.
