Please provide details about your system. You may have a corrupted wallet or block chain. Your best bet is to delete everything except your wallet.dat and EBT.conf files from your "Library/Application Support/EBT" directory and try again. The OS X wallet was tested successfully on three different systems all running different versions of OS X. If we can know more about your own system, we may be able to help.

Since the POW mining stage is well over, what are the future plans of EBT...? Is the cryptofleamarket thing still on....? This coin needs a wider adoption....I would like to hear dev's plans...

I think, somehow we need to get into a major exchange like Mintpal or Cryptsy. Poloniex is not cutting it. Only 17 million coins out of total 150 million is on sale there and buy support is very poor at 0.36954764 BTC total.... I think traders are held back due to the lack of a good exchange, So getting into a good exchange must be our first goal now...

There's also europex.eu 7,014.700 EBT = $1 USD

There's also europex.eu 7,014.700 EBT = $1 USD Buy support is even worse there than on Poloniex. I'm not sure exchanges are our main concern at this point, though. (responding to mashac, not DannyTom) Cryptsy and Mintpal aren't going to want to add a coin that no one cares about doing anything with, so it's going to take those of us interested in moving this coin forward putting in some work to give it value. A good coin requires more than just being put on some exchanges, it needs purchasing power and convenience (mobile wallets, etc). That's been suggested a few times I think in this thread, and I believe that's what's going to help the most right now.

Adoption of the security update is nearing 50%. By the way, the network has been under nearly constant attack by someone submitting many bad blocks. PoS has worked well to keep the network stable, and the attacks have subsided in the last few days. It will be best to get the security patch adopted before moving forward with any releases, however. We are working on some breakthrough technology that we hope to add to the EBT wallet soon. Although mobile wallets help adoption, we believe that usage is the primary driver of adoption. We are therefore working on in-wallet uses for crypto currencies, with EBT slated as a testing ground. We have essentially stopped development of convenience features and are focusing exclusively on these usage features. Unfortunately development takes time, especially because coding talent is spread very thinly throughout the altcoin universe. We have a small team working very hard, but the new usage features are difficult to implement, especially as we refine the design to ensure extensibility and adaptability. We therefore ask the community to have patience and to not vent too much frustration on the forum. Finally, we apologize for the vague promises, which seems to be all too commonplace in the marketplace. Technology is fast moving and ideas are golden, so we can't let too much out of the bag right now. But we assure you that we are listening to your concerns and working hard to improve EBT!

Just updated my wallet. Haven't had it open for a few months. I wonder what happens when you have 1.5 million EBT, and don't update your wallet for so long.

Yes, I began to realise that. So the coin no longer mints? It's minting now. But it happens, when you open your wallet, it's need to be synched with network. Now you have "aged-enough" coins. And you need proper blockchain, it takes time to download all blocks over few months. And it have low %. I've got about 60k PoS mined coins.

At least you guys are still active. Can't tell you how many devs disappear after the first pump (*cough* FRQ *cough*). I have a garage full of junk I'm putting on craigslist and asking for BTC/LTC/BTQ and EBT. I don't really care about selling it, just want people to call and ask what it is I'm accepting for the stuff. Of the stuff I've sold, one item I actually got BTC for, the rest was just conversation and cash. Still, it's one way to spread the word and let non-crypto people know there is buying power with alt-coins. Just put on craigslist a set of ingersol-rand black 1/2" metric impact sockets for for 95,000 EBT or 0.018 BTC if anyone is in Sunrise, FL and interested. http://miami.craigslist.org/brw/tls/4493255672.html

This's what PoS does to your coin.
Listen to the people, and you get dumped.

What do you mean? At least its not in danger of being forked every third day. How many PoW coins have been forked recently? It just happened to dark. The PoW always takes them down. Either way, a coin is meant to be a vehicle for transactions, not a tool for pumpers and dumpers.

Well, I've made over 20k in interest on my EBT after not opening my wallet for a couple of months.
Proof of Stake is definitely an advantageous way of mining if you're in it for the long haul, and have generally lost interest in mining in general.
