Cry How is it possible that dev didn't login for 5 days...come on. As a person that launch a coin you want it to be successful, no? Yes it was trading on a market, but i'm sure that dev didn't sold their coins, it has cost his more money to startup a coin then what he could have received... Sad maybe i will mine it one full day, to add plenty of coins, and who knows...

There are 2 options here:

a. this coin is dead from the start (in less than 2 weeks)
b. because the coin has no premine (or has it), developers are quietly mining it before a "relaunch".

Hobbitcoin is a good name for a coin, and may succeed with the fans of "Middle Earth", but I wouldn't invest more than 1 day of hashing power on it.

At the current 0.4  difficulty, if to rent 10 MHs of scrypt rigs you can get about 3-4 millions of it in a day (if not more), that would cost about 0.15 BTC for the rent.

But, Is it worth it?

Why is your friend not on bitcointalk for 2 weeks... this is not how you support your miners, how do he think to make a good coin when he is infact pre-mining in silence, and let everybody think that his coin is dead.

You have nothing to lose.... at the moment it is worthless... the question is:

1. Do you have time to spend every day 2 or 3 hours
2. Do you have technical knowhow?
3. Will you do this all by yourself? Start created a team around yourself, yeap that will cost $$$$ or Hobbitcoins Smiley
4. How good are you in marketing?

Ok, let me answer  you!

1. I have the will of a normal person to do what I can, I know and have to do! I have more than 2 or 3 hours daily, so number 1. is PASS by me!
2. Technical know how!?!? I started with computers at age of 15 ( I have 38 at this moment), Commodore 64, Amiga 500, PCs. I was working some programms in "basic", "symons basic",  (comodore 64)... All this about coins I understand how it works but I can't learn how to make my coin ( I don't know c, c+, c++, c+++...). Number 2 is FAILED by me but if there are someone in community with a knowledge he can help!!!!!
3. Yes, I can do it by myself with help of community. I don't know why do you need someone to do it alone, off course I will need a help! I have some Hobbitcoins and bitcoins to invest but not to much! 10% of all my coins I can invest!!
4. Good in communication, never d marketing but considering it very easy,  have some corespondents with BigVern so maybe I could have some help of him, I dont know!

So, that is me.,,

This is a great coin, unbelievable, mining it for a few hours and already have 5M coins, now if nothing happens, no pickup with the new developer/owner then i lost a few hours mining, if something will happen then i mine a lot of coins and it didn't cost me anything. Anyone else want to join?

Anyway, i already contacted a few exchange to get Hobbitcoin listed, maybe they need to rename the coin and call it Humancoin or something like that...

Mining pool http://pool.hobbit.co.in is not displaying the correct amount of coins that you can mine during a day, it looks like it is ignoring the +50000 coins blocks, we are mining a lot more... can someone have a look at it, as this will improve sentiment for new miners, as now it looks like you only mine a few coins, but in fact my mine x20 times more.

https://www.cryptorush.in/

Why cryptorush.in, at the moment we need to be realistic, we cannot go to cryptsy, coinedup or coinmarket.io, they will never accept Hobbitcoin at this stage. cryptorush.in is a site that allow smaller coins to have the possibility to grow. I've mine it for 12 hours or so, and i have 7M coins, so the estimate in the miningpool is not correct, maybe that is another reason why we should put some more effort in this coin. I was already very pleased to see that the guy that will now look after the community is also mining, so that is a good start. I don't expect a lot from Hobbitcoin in the first weeks, and most likely when it hit a exchange a few people will just sell their coins because they want money.

Crypto Rush usually asks .25 btc fee. You mean they could add HBC anyway ?
