it's absolutely sad that a coin with such a good name is abandoned so soon.
I say we take over, design a new coin with Frodo on the front and get it to an exchange.

Like this:

This coin could be the best coin of the year.... One coin to rule them all.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

you mean a relaunch right? because a fork won't work, would be just a huge premine launch

Well he is offered to do so, and i am willing to help out.

No not forking. Relaunching it. I am willing to put effort in this to make it work. I have all connections to make this work.
But i need to be sure what the status of this coin is.

With a relaunch it means that all people lost their coins? This is also not really nice for the people that mine this for one month... no?

Not with the blockchain intact, everyone keeps their coins.
There are 39555 block solved now. That is not that much.

mmm, ok, as i find it very important (certainly for a lot of the low hashrate people that were mining Hobbitcoin) that they at least have some coins. If you need help when you take over the coin, please let me know. I can do some promotions via twitter, have a nice number of followers.

I don't think there are a lot of big miners at Hobbitcoin Cheesy so the dump will not be that big Smiley

It's not too mined. A dump will Always occur no matter what when you hit an exchange.
I think implementing KGW and forking it might the best thing to do when doing a relaunch.
Maybe Original creator want to give the coin to us?

Did Kittehcoin destroy all the coins with the relaunch? I don't think so, and nobody dumped the coins, infact the value of the coin rises like crazy, correct, or am i wrong?

Well yes, but it was a pump and dump scheme.
But i really like this coin, i hope it's more then just another pump and dump. It's what we make it.

Sure we could just relaunch a new coin with the same name on a new blockchain. But that is not really re-launching it when the Original just keep on existing. It's like the Pandacoin ... were there are 3 different versions all alive.

I would not change the structure... that would be like changing the gamerules during gameplay. It should stay intact.
But it is like Amph says , when people are sitting on a lot of HBC, you know it will be dumped.  But since there is no price at all right now i think it does not matter.

Well no reason to leave really.

First we have to make contact to the person who knows the dev, i already send him a PM.
It would be good to implement something like a gravity well so we know it will be one dump from the people owning the coin now, and after that it will not be abused by multipools.
