genesis block was 50 coin  Huh

8 coins were premined. 10 blocks at time of release

lie?

And this kills the coin.

Haha so it was less rare than 42 from the beginning. Makes the "Take that 42" on the OP really ironic.

If you guys knew anything about making an altcoin you would know that the genesis block is (almost) never actually seen...
So yes the genesis block generated 50 coins but nobody has them... the are floating in cyberspace. I pre-mined 8 coins and have given 4 of them away to other users who have contributed to the betterment of this coin...

ENOUGH WITH THE BLASPHEMY!

Interesting. Why is that?

He's right you know...  people had the same question over at the 8 coin thread.  50 coins in the genesis block that will never actually exist anywhere.  Don't worry he doesn't have then.  Click block 0 in the block explorer and you'll see. Great idea dev!

Usually when you mine a genesis block you don't have a wallet yet so the coins have no where to go, so they don't really exist. I have heard that there is a way to put these coins in a wallet but I don't have the "know how" to do so. Do some searching on this forum on genesis blocks. It is really interesting... If you're into that sort of thing.

Help get CGA on Cryptsy!

Maybe we should try to prove the coin on a smaller market first.

Suggestions?

Coinmarket.io, cryptorush.in, and c-cex.com are the best of the latest string of alt exchanges IMO.  Cryptsy is no longer the first stop for alts these days.

Suggestions?

I know POT has had some success here https://freshmarket.co.in/index.php?page=home
Cryptorush tends to take new altcoins https://www.cryptorush.in/index.php
And of course a great 0% fee option is https://coinedup.com/

Coinmarket is small and way better than those three.

Or we can just flood them all and hope one puts it up. I'm really curious what the value of CGA will turn out to be.

I'm surprised more people are not using http://cga.poolnetwork.org/ since there's no pool or exchange fees.
