The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Huobi, one of the largest crypto-currency exchanges in the world, opens its office in Brazil without much publicity. According to local media reports, the management of the Singapore company was spotted at a trade event in this South American country where it actively contacted the well-known figures from the Brazilian crypto-currency community. It was also reported that Huobi has already rented an office in São Paulo, the country's largest city, considered its financial capital. In addition, the company began to search for local staff through LinkedIn, in particular, opening the vacancy of the Compliance Director and the Manager of the Digital Market. Huobi, who moved from China to Singapore last fall after the ban on the country's crypto-currency trade, has been actively expanding its activities around the world in recent months. In January, it was reported that Huobi intends to open an office in San Francisco. In April, the crypto-exchange Huobi Korea began its work in Korea - this event should have happened earlier, but was postponed due to tightening of regulation in the country. Next, Huobi announced plans to open its first offices in Europe and Canada - in London and Toronto, respectively.

Malta, Switzerland, Germany,... Every country wants to be the number 1 in the crypto (adoption, exchange, hub, ...) But very few nations do something to help to make something concrete. Other than regulations which at the end, make the country unfriendly for cryptos

I read that there is 400 000 active users and around 2000 BTC exchanged per day. Great figures !

Today,An estimated 1.4 million of open crypto-currency  trading accounts, shared between 3 competing platforms  . Foxbit count 400 000 users and holds 36% of the market shares and the exchanges between Bitcoin and Brazilian are around 2000 BTC per day.
There are about 150 new companies related to blockchain and cryptomonnaies that are developing .

Each country is trying to be the BlockChain hub in their region (Malta in Europe, Brazil...). However all of this  is good for the cryptocurrency

It is a big news, And, need only good news at this moment. But I am not sure, Brazil cannot be a crypto leading country too early. They have to prove many things. Maybe we are getting more news like this; if every state continues to accept bitcoin wisely, then bitcoin may help their country to remove Poverty, And, we will get a stable Bitcoin Price. Oh, I have too much hope.

this is great news! I was in Brazil, and what surprised me the most: they barely carry paper money! All locals always go with credit cards! In Brazil, there were huge chains of stores accepting crypto coins and bitcoin! It's no wonder that they realized the greatest advantage of the crypto world before anyone else!

Are you sure you were in Brazil? When did that happen, 2040?

Transactions using credit and debit cards amount to 29 percent of private consumption in Brazil, according to Abecs data, compared to as much as 85 percent in wealthier countries.

It is a big news, And, need only good news at this moment.

What good news? That Brazil is doing trades worth 2000 BTC a day?
And about the article....

Quote
To serve as an example of the breadth of Brazil’s growing Bitcoin prowess, Atlas claims they had just 1,000 clients last June. A year later and they say they have 150,000 clients. Not all of them have money in the cryptocurrency market at this time. But Marques estimates that around 10% of them do, with an average of $2,000 invested.

So from his own words, 90% of his clients have a single cent invested  Grin Grin Grin

“Crypto is turning everyone into an investor, “says Fred Wilson, a partner at Urban Square Ventures. “It’s easy to understand why so many are interested in it,” he says. “This is a nation of lower- and working-class-income people, and they don’t have stock brokers. They have all heard about how this thing called Bitcoin is making people rich. Crypto is introducing a whole class of people in Brazil to investing.”

Maybe Brazil has some potential to become a cryptocurrency centre, now that exchanges are moving to the largest country in South America, like recently Huobi planning to open office in Sao Paulo. But not too long ago Brazil was a third world country and most of the population is still very poor.

Brazil has good volumes and prospects. Interestingly, this will affect the operation and price of bitcoin in 2018. I'd love to know How many bitcoins people own in Brazil ?

If can remember, since 2015 there are hundreds of stores accepting bitcoin in Brazil.

If they managed to focus by that time, they can be the tiger country for cryptocurrencies right now.

I find that very hard to believe though, Even in the USA people use paper money a lot in their transactions more than their credit cards just because they don't want to pay outrageous fees.

Brazil is in the process of becoming the leader of the crypto-currencies . At present, there is more accounts opening of crypto-currency trading than traditional brokerage accounts.

They started to adopt cryptocurrency years ago, but if they continue to fully adopt the system they can really be one of good place to use cryptocurrency. I heard so many projects being creates in brazil now, some of the exchanges make their move to enter in the market of Brazil. The potential to become a leader in cryptocurrency is there and I hope many country will do the same thing.

Brazil also has the potential to create the largest ICO service. public enthusiasm for crypto there increases every year.

I think that brazil will compete with swiss, venezuela, japan, because they are also widening its wings to become a crypto country
