One person cancelling their bid does not equate to everyone cancelling their bids.

I obviously don't know BNM's reason for cancelling his bid, and IMO the actual reason for removing his bid should have been stated instead of what was typed - but moving on - if no else goes on to bid, how is that fair to minerjones who has actually made a legit bid?

I know, and I do understand where you are coming from, and no, it is not fair on you or anyone else.

The way to avoid something like this is to put a term into your auctions when you start them.. something alone these lines (but type it to suit/protect you):

- If you make a bid, but you have bid an incorrect amount, you are free to change it within 15mins of the post. After this, you are liable for the bid you place. Further to that, by making a bid, you are effectively saying that, if you win this auction, you WILL pay the amount you bid.

So something like this won't help you right now, but it will for future auctions
