Sorry i doubt, even though many merchants accept bitcoin as the payment method at that event but seems like people prefer to hold their bitcoin instead of spending them, on the other hand, they will likely to pay the hotels with the cash or credit card as I can see in some biggest events before. I honestly find it strange that people keep on talking about Russia World Cup and bitcoin since there is absolutely no relationship between the two. Russia is not one of those countries with that much bitcoin adoption, specially not as a currency. bitcoin is legal over there and there are a lot of investors from Russia but that doesn't mean there will be some effects on bitcoin just because World Cup is there. it could have been true only if there were merchants over there accepting bitcoin payment. for example if the hotels, the airlines, the tickets to the games,... were being sold for bitcoin but since that is not the case here then there is no relationship either.

strongly agree with your opinion on the security issues that are the main threat to this event. Such things are usually unpredictable. But you will also agree with me that this is a global event and Russia will not take lightly because it can easily damage the country's reputation if this happens.
