Hello Bitcoin Forum.

Ive recently ( as in today ) created a tiny GUI tool for the poclbm bitcoin miner. So far it is an ALPHA version.

What exactly do i have for you? I'd like to explain it to you with some pictures.

This is the program itself, poclbm and 2 of the configuration files i'll explain in the next picture. Poclbm, the GUI app and the configuration files have to be in the same folder.

This is what you see, when you start the program. You can see those recently mentioned "configuration files", lets call them "profiles".
These files contain the following:

Quote
-d 0 -f 60 -w 256 USERNAME:PASS@pit.deepbit.net:8332

Looks familiar right? Indeed. Its the command line you'd normally use to start poclbm.
So before you start your gGUI you should create or edit one of these "profiles".

The criteria for a profile are:
-the filename begins with gGUIparams
    after the gGUIparams_XXX
you can define a name for it. for example like on the picture above.
-it ends with the extension ".ini"
-it contains 1 line with valid poclbm parameters like the above example.

Once you selected a profile this is what you see. The miner starts, the output is redirected to the GUI. Youre pretty much done.

You've an counter for accepted and rejected shares, you can see what pool you are currently mining for. Also, you can minimize the program to the tray.
This is how it looks like:

If you click the accepted shares counter - the number - a new window pops up:

This window is a list of the shares youve found. Theres also a button - "Save Statistics" - which will give you the possiblity to save some statistics. These statistics look like this:

Goordons poclbm GUI statistics.
Mining since: 14.09.2011 01:38:33
Accepted shares: 45
Rejected shares: 0
14/09/2011 01:39:15 65f7b353
14/09/2011 01:41:50 8ada7639
14/09/2011 01:45:05 27ca478d
[... and so on...]

They will be saved as a .txt file.

-------------------------------------------------------

Okay guys. Thats pretty much it. I just wanted to leave this here in case someone could maybe make use of a very simple GUI for poclbm.

Other requirements:

The program requires .Net Framework 2.0. Should be installed on the most computers of todays time anyway.
And of course poclbm.

If you like the program i'd really appreciate a little donation. Im pretty new to the Bitcoin stuff ( like 2-3 weeks into it now ) and i'm mining with my 48MH/s machine -_-. Whatever. I dont force you to donate, it would just make me smile!

Have fun, i hope my gGUI is useful for some of you.

No need to benchmark i think Smiley. The values you would normally get in poclbm are the values you will get in this GUI. Its just an interface.
