The ignore feature can be a good friend and transform this forum into a healthy place. A place of value for those who came here to learn and contribute. I plan on ignoring a lot of posters here and I welcome your opinion about who is just a waste of time. For example, anyone with “cosby” in their name or anyone who does not plan on owning any coins.
So who should I add?

Give everyone a fresh start. People who are ignored may have since then changed.  Just keep an open mind.

I can't bring myself to ignore anyone on any forum. You just miss out on all the hilarity.

WHAT THE FLIP? Welcome to my ignore list, geek-lamer

seriously you are missing out, my posts are best thing about these boards. Possibly the best thing about bitcoins in general, too. And you know it deep down. That's why when you see this post you're going to be curious and click the "show post" toggle.

OP, just don't be like the superdouchebags CoinHunter, OldMiner and BitCoinEXpress and gloat about how you are ignoring someone and then quote them every other post and respond to every bit of their goading.

This is a good idea. Maybe sooner or later we can keep a running tally of who is the most ignored users to attempt to curb the trolls. The only one I know for sure I've ignored is Surawit, because he posted in here and it says he's currently ignored :p.

Give everyone a fresh start. People who are ignored may have since then changed.  Just keep an open mind.
Keep in mind, most of us aren't ignoring people we disagree with, just the ones who are obviously trolling or arguing to rise tempers. I don't come here for that, and I like strong arguments debating bitcoin, not most of this kindergarten BS floating around. The ignore feature was well needed months ago and thank god for it.

My ignore list is around 15 people and I haven't been here very long. Kinda sad, honestly.

2 have already posted in this thread.

I don't ignore people by forum plugin(or w/e), i take responsibility for the information I'm receiving and outright ignore them my self.

Its much funner to say... "omg that member is still trolling".... then it is to say..... "I live in a pre-filtered world, go me!"

Nobody.

If I was up to start cherry picking users, I wouldn't be coming to this forum on the first place.

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback guys. If this topic is a little negative, I would also be interested in who you think should not be ignored. That is to say, who is a bitcoin peer with something valuable to contribute.

One of the down sides to being a "Global Moderator" is I can't really ignore anybody because then I can't see the garbage they're posting in order to delete it. On the up side, anybody that I WOULD ignore isn't likely to last very long on the forum.
