It is much easier to skip the reserve price and start the bidding @ your minimum. Better yet just roll the dice and start the item at face value and let the market decide what it is worth.

It really doesn't matter at this stage that you have removed your reserve price. All your messing about, using another members private bid to adjust your reserve price for the bar, etc etc - has put a LOT of people off dealing with you.
I'm actually surprised Otoh is still prepared to. GL with your auction.

Yes I'm surprised that I came back to place that bid too, I expect that it will end up being more trouble than it's worth, anoying comment from seller already & as it was a 0.5005 increase on the last high bid of 0.5 I believe, then it was well over the "minimum 0.05 bid increment" in the OP, it was to include the funding on the bar but just to keep it simple I'll now increase it to:

You're holding a public auction, people comment on the auction itself (thus it's not off topic), I don't see the issue here.

So, we started off with a reserve of 1.8BTC, which you reasoned in having a standing offer of 1.65BTC ^[1], an offer you have claimed to have refused (makes sense, if you expect to get 1.8BTC or more for it).
When being pointed out how far out of reality this expectation was, your rebuttal has been that you do not intend to sell the bar if your expectations are met ^[2], so far so good.
Now fast forward to today, and so far, you have first lowered the reserve below your 1.65BTC refused offer ^[3] (makes no sense to me), then removed it completely (also makes no sense given [2]), and resulting from that altered the auction terms by delaying the end point ^[4].

Your constant twitching, backing out or changing of terms is the only thing offending your auction, not the comments pointing out what you do.
