I just read a news about ETH's modification in CCN. Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin has stated that the Ethereum network will eventually be able to process 1 million transactions per second and potentially more than 100 million transaction per second with second-layer solutions such as Sharding and Plasma.
What do you think about it.

ETH network too congestion recently and this news hope will solve this problem. and we can see ETH start fly again.

it's pretty well known that that's the target they're aiming for with PoS and sharding...no news though about when these will happen ..it could be closer than expected..but still nothing definite about it

I think he is being over optimistic but good luck with it. Right not it is overloaded and performance is way below other blockchains such as NEO. When more clones of crypto kitties are released ethereum will simply crash unless they implement something to solve it.

I believe he don't take those numbers out of thin air, everything is calculated. There is a difference between new blockchains which scale like NEO, and old chains which running for a few years, on new blockchain solution you can implement it straight away, because there is no product right now, but on already mature blockchains like Ethereum, implementing new things takes way more time, because there is so much moving parts.

We are waiting for Plasma and Casper more then 1 year and Vitalik didn't say the exact date of its production so... maybe 1 more year to wait

This is a very good news. If it does achieve this goal, I believe that Ethereum will be the best cryptocurrency on the market, then its price will take off again. This is what I hope to see because I have invested in it.

It is a very good news that they have a good plan for eth future and i believe they can do it, the network also already fine these days but it definitely need an upgrade to cater more transactions in the future. At least they can compete with newer crypto that claim to have better tech than them.

I guess those are holding ethereum right now will become the winner in the future. PoS will come very soon and another big update about the scalability solution of ethereum. This is really cool news and i was expecting all of dapps will use ethereum. EOS, NEO and any major smartcontract platform will become useless.

This is a great news for everyone because t he ethereum network are congestion and i think there's an solution.
I'm sure the ethereum are starting to rising again and I guess the people who are holding ethereum will be happy.

So what happened with the Raiden idea? Have they just given up on a lightning type solution now? Seems like pretty much every cryptocurrency is looking to get in on the sharding idea, and yet we still haven't seen anybody actually implement it except for Zilliqa. Too much talk, very little action. Everybody is claiming they'll reach 1m TPS, and yet nobody has.

in my opinion it is a very good developmental performance, and maybe with the development of eth technology will shift the bitcoin in the future

the concern has never been with handling a lot of  transactions lone.
the main concern is always about the fact that you need to keep the cryptocurrency decentralized or make up your mind and go at it in a centralized fashion.
ETH has never been decentralized despite what they advertised it as and the more transactions it handles the less decentralized it gets as it becomes impossible to run a full node. otherwise VISA can handle a lot more tx per second than any of these!!!
