You heard me right? John Freakin’ McAfee, the outspoken crypto advocate is at it again!

Take a look from Coindesk: https://www.coindesk.com/john-mcafees-new-crypto-trading-platform-magic-goes-live

From claiming that he would eat his d*** if Bitcoin doesn’t reach 1 million dollars by the end of 2020 by believing in the so-called “time-traveler” guy from 2025, now his own crypto trading platform is ready and good to go.

I wonder what kind of “magic” does he have for us in using his crypto trading platform?

Let me know your thoughts about his brand new trading platform, and I’m just wondering how can it sustain integrating multiple exchanges such as Binance, Poloniex, Kraken, etc., for us to trade with them simultaneously in one dashboard?

Would love to hear some feedback here guys. Thanks!

My guess: most likely through these exchange's APIs, which is publicly available for every user(as far as I know).

Anyway, if you're interested in a discussion concerning this platform: Topic: John McAfee launches the McAfee Magic trading platform https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5153488.0

That's exactly right. It's explained in their FAQ here: https://mcafeemagic.com/faq.php
Quote
Q: How do I connect my API's to start trading?

A: After you get API from your exchange, on the Magic dashboard click the exchange, then the + button, enter your API and save. Magic will verify if your key is valid.
APIs are freely available to all users. All this site is doing is providing a platform to import all your APIs to at once. It offers nothing which you can't do yourself, but it is charging $1,000 a year for the privilege.

I wonder what kind of “magic” does he have for us in using his crypto trading platform?
The only "magic" here is that some users are crazy enough to pay $1,000 for something they can access for free.

Jeebus. I didn't even notice that part. $1,000 a year for something that platforms like TradingView and TabTrader; and to add the fact that McAfeeMagic has very bad UI and bad security[1]? Pretty much the only thing that can make this site money is from the clout from McAfee's name itself.

Pretty much the only thing that can make this site money is from the clout from McAfee's name itself.
It's pretty much an exact repeat of what happened with the Bitfi hardware wallet he released. Release a terrible product which can be down elsewhere better and for free (in the case of the wallet, you could simply use any open source software for generating a brain wallet rather than paying him 100 bucks or whatever to use his closed source nonsense), market the hell out of it, slap McAfee's name across your website, all your marketing, social media, etc., and profit from newbies who don't really know any better.

That's without even mentioning that I wouldn't want McAfee to have his grubby hands on any of my personal details.
