For long term investing you can choose top 5 coin on cmc and the safest coin is coin which is passed through multiyears bearish like : bitcoin, litecoin, vertcoin. First is of course the bitcoins they will never be out of my investment. Ethereum being the most successful altcoins here and as the bitcoins rises they also rises as what I have notice. And there are the litcoins which my friends have a lot of and the lastly the ripple because they are saying they can be bigger than btc. |

If you have extra money then you should invest in Ripple because it is fast growing crypto and in the future its price will be more than $1000. I do not think the crypto besides Bitcoin and ETH are good for long term trading. They are rather good for short term and day trading. But irrespective of this all, holding a diverse portfolio like you have mentioned for long helps you earn some good money.
