Sorry for the loss to your friend but there is nothing to add to this situation.
That account[1] has a negative tust[2] for a long time, the website[3] is known to be used to scam others, and a simple search or verification of trust will prevent that loss.
Buying accounts is a waste of money.
Also, the price of 100 merits meritorious is $ 40 while the cost of the account is $ 50.

Account sale are discourage by forum. Why have your friend tried to buy account ? Account seller has got tag long time ago than why he trust seller ? Is this not a sign of stupid? I have visited his website. It's just trap of scam. Very cheap price account with green trust. Lol.

Some still think that they might get unnoticed so it (buying/selling) still happens. Most of them trade behind the local chat groups or local sections in the forum. Looking at the price I also don't think he has accounts.

Don't know if it is true or not since there was no signed message being presented. Also looking at the thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2291697.msg23256700#msg23256700) it seems like that the case was resolved. Still wondering what happened there

I have a very strong feeling there's no "friend" here, and that OP doesn't want to get tagged as an account buyer by admitting he tried to make a deal with this guy--but since I have no proof, I won't tag him.

And yeah, it's not like I didn't try to warn people.  I realize that people might be used to seeing red on account sellers, but there's a good reason it exists in the first place.  These account sellers are generally dishonest individuals who only care about lining their own pockets--you really can't trust someone with that mindset.  Not surprising when something like this happens, is it?
