I agree that bitcoin is still probably on its way down and we haven't seen the bottom just yet, but there is simply nothing that would suggest bitcoin will drop below $1k at any time during this bear market. There would simply be so many people trying to stock up on cheap coins at that point, if it does happen.

It's important to note that the adoption numbers for bitcoin is drastically increasing every time there is a bull market, and that's the reason why that we actually haven't seen bitcoin drop to or below its price at the start of the bull market during a bear market. Instead, every time there is a bear market, prices bottom out at a level that is around double the starting price. $3-4k as a bottom is reasonable, but $1k simply is not.

ah, the weekly "bitcoin is a bubble" thread. i was wondering when someone would post it.

$1000 means a redux of 2011.....certainly possible. but assuming it will happen?! beyond foolish. this long sideways on the daily looks like a recipe for a measured move to 2017 supports in the $2500-$3000 range. i'm not betting on any lower than that; the odds are too low.

i'd say there is a 5-10% chance of $1000 happening, at most. but yeah, it's a possibility.

While the chances of that happening are very low, that is only bad news if you invested all your money in bitcoin and that was money you could not afford to lose, for everyone else that will be good news since we will be able to buy bitcoin for cheap once again and it will be possible that we will get massive profits once again once the price skyrockets, right now it seems the time of great profits seems to be behind us because even if bitcoin reached its previous all time high you will only come close to triple your money.

Have you noticed that whole crypto market is down now a days just because of decline in BTC. It has happened so many times at least you can check the market trend of last 12 months if not more. Every time BTC is representative of crypto market, if BTC is down whole market is down if BTC is good then whole market will be good...So don't worry, wait for few days second part of the year will be fine.

I don't know how to read graph but I knew the graph was not correct because a kind of person that forecast bitcoin price using the fundamental knowledge and news skills and base on my knowledge the dip mention can't occur.
