They are very similar and definitions can often times overlap. You can use both, however, in tandem to create a successful marketing campaign for your project and in turn not have to spend an exorbitant amount of money in start-up costs. By launching a crowdfunding campaign first you can sell or give early access incentives for the subsequent pre-sale event. Once the pre-sale begins, the hope is that enough attention has been created through the crowdfunding event that investors will purchase even more tokens--thus creating yet more attention. Finally, you continue on with the ICO release. The thing to note here is that you will need to use a crowdfunding software/platform that caters to your needs. Overall, this method can prove effective for some as it gives the people behind the project the ability to initially forgo high starting costs related to legal fees, technical fees, smart contracts, etc and instead solely focus on marketing the project. You can learn more about this strategy here in this article: https://www.thrinacia.com/blog/post/using-reward-crowdfunding-for-pre-sale-or-regular-ico

Mintdice, can you explain what the crowd-funding is in a very simple term. I know presale is making your crypto available to the investors before it is open up to ICO. But what does it mean by crowd-funding?

Previously people used to raise funds by ico tokens. But these days, they have come up with a new plan of crowd fund raising which can be used by ticked pre-selling for many events of ICO. This pre sale is another different way of bringing new ICO.

Sure, basic crowdfunding is simply a method of raising money for your business from donations on behalf of the public--there is no reward for investors in terms of shares or early privileges regarding the product or service. There are many crowdfunding platforms out there, one popular one being kickstarter, for example.

However, there ARE different types of 'crowdfunding' schemes apart from the basic donations-based template. You can check out the different types below: https://www.fundable.com/learn/resources/guides/crowdfunding-guide/what-is-crowdfunding

You'll see that the different types of crowdfunding templates start to eventually sound like pre-sale events since they start including rewards and equity-based schemes--which is why often times these two concepts overlap.

I think pre-sale it's the best way to invest in perspective project. The best coins which I get from presales: it's Pundix and ICON

Pre sales mean coins are available in the market before it launched in the ICO and crowd funding means collect the fun for particular purpose.

If you are looking for just funding, I think that it is better to use ICO  than conventional platforms because at least there is a trust-less registry of the contributions. Still you depend on the good will and legitimacy of the teams but the amount of funding and the contributors are known.

Also, you can create a large community like the telegram groups on the larger ICOs.

I think it gives opportunity for early investors to get the biggest bonus out of the project. Also it provides a general idea about adaptation of the project. If your presales aren't good, it'd be better to halt the project for sometime

Agree. OP, please explain what do you mean because never heard of "pre-sales for crowd-funding". Or you meant ICO pre-sales maybe?

Before selling something is known as pre sell but this question is unclear to me also this but what I understand that is create a good marketing process and selling process before you introduce the project of coins based on this many people can attract and invest.
