my readings summarize the highest possible BTC might be about $ 50k that is just a prediction of co-founders that investors may also depend on carrying on those managing this bitcoin arrangement.

Co-founders of what? There are no co-founders of Bitcoin. There was just one anonymous Bitcoin creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, and no one has heard from him since 2011. $50k Is possible for each Bitcoin, I do believe that. It will just take some time.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

BTC will actually cost the highest price. Because Bitcoin's needs and benefits are increasing, the bitcoin will actually be able to get high prices very soon. Bitcoin is getting legal legitimization across the country. Its price is also increasing gradually.

Total value of financial transaction that occur everyday is in trillions and total value of all tradable currency is even high. So just divide 100 trillion by 21 million you sill get some figure. Many people believe one day one bitcoin will be worth a million USD but I personally think I will be still alive to see bitcoin near $100k  Grin

Hi all, this is something that I have had numerous conversations about and one that not many can agree on. I am fascinated to hear your opinions on...

  • How high can the value of BTC reach at its peak? (and maybe a quick summary why)
  • When is that likely to happen in your honest opinion?

I respect everyone's opinion as i am sure it will differ drastically.

If you want to know bitcoin's highest potential value, then it would probably just be the 'market capitalisation' of all existing fiat currencies combined. That would happen in the case that bitcoin was able to establish itself as the global currency, and be used worldwide by every single person. Obviously, that's pretty extreme, and I doubt it'll happen. But it's possible.

But what's the point of measuring bitcoin's value in fiat if we're talking about the long term, honestly?

Fiat is known to be notoriously depreciative and if bitcoin does skyrocket that much, it's unlikely that fiat would be worth anything, and would instead return to its intrinsic value which is zero. 1 bitcoin would simply be regarded as 1 bitcoin by that stage.

I believe that before 2030 bitcoin will get to $500,000! Forget about the current FUD that is been making around and you should no that government is going to adopt this cryptocurrencies system in future because that is how they were against internet but now all of them have adopted it. I set the limit bitcoin can go to $1,000,000 however it can go above that as no one can really said were it will be accurately.

The highest price of bitcoins that i see is $18k dollars and that has happen last year december, this year is expected for bitcoins to reach $30k dollars and it might really happen because there are other countries as well today that has been legalized in order for them to invest on bitcoins.

In the bitcoin market can be all but I do not believe in such a development. I think you're very optimistic. If bitcoin reaches this year's price of 15-18K dollars it will be a very good result. The more people will believe that the price of bitcoin will grow the faster it will happen. Now I see stability in the market and this is a positive result.

It largely depends on the current economy. The more the economy messes up, the more incentive there is for capital to be parked in Bitcoin. In other words, the downfall of the global system is Bitcoin's gain.

It's pointless to throw around with numbers as to what the price will be. If there weren't any problems in the world, banks were fair, governments were fair, Bitcoin would be close to worthless or never even invented.

It will likely follow gold's patterns in the very long term. If gold's market cap remains $8 trillion, then it means Bitcoin needs to be worth $380,000 to have a similar market cap. It's not entirely impossible to be honest.

Bitcoin is more versatile than gold in almost every way. More versatility means more uses and more uses means more utility value.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

I don't want to see the price of the bitcoin become $2500 because maybe if they down at that price they will continue to dump until they become die. So better if the price more than 50,000 dollars after few months. We want the price become very high not like that price $2500 but in the future $2500 will happen but not this year.

Don't believe those people that it will reach $500k to $1M by 2020 before we can even hit 30k this year the volatility, news and FUD's will affect its price, it needs to hit again the 20k former ATH before the new target of 30k but that would always depend on the current good news and trend of the big market, realistic for this month price speculation is 10k.

I will say that any price is possible, it's defined by market and supply and demand ratio. Whatever the price are users willing to pay the Bitcoin will have. But that is theory and in practice things are functioning different.
For this year I'm not so.optimistic and I think that 10000$ or 15000$ would be the max price Bitcoin can reache.
For the future, who knows, everything is possible.

Over time, I believe bitcoin would get to be more of a digital gold in which most investors, from small to institutional investors will see the space as a store of value and that would sure keep increasing the inflow of money into the ecosystem. I believe no one can say about the maximum value for bitcoins as it may take another hundred years to realize that.

However, based on the OP question, there is no way anyone can be realistic and then giving the max price bitcoin will reach because any realistic person will know it is impossible to know since there would always be a chance for it to keep growing based on how people perceive it, even if it reaches $1m.

There is no maximum price for cryptocurrency because as long as people are interested on investing a huge amount then the demand will keep on increasing which will make the price of cryptocurrency to grow even more and no one will be able to invest a huge amount since it was very expensive.

It all depends on how many people will accept it as a currency. The more people accept it higher the price will be.

If we really want to be realistic, no one can really know but one thing for sure is that we will keep having an increase in a way most of the time and if we are really to look at it in a year in year out way, the price will keep increasing and forming a higher high and low as the case may be on a yearly time frame which would even get better with mainstream adoption, so that makes it hard to realistically be assuming a price and as long as you are assuming, there is nothing realistic about it.

It all depends on how many people will accept it as a currency. The more people accept it higher the price will be.
Almost all the people around the world would definitely accept bitcoin as payment system or at least as a store of value because bitcoin has all the capabilities to fulfill all their needs. It means bitcoin may reach billion dollars too in next two or three decades.

I think there is a moderate/high probability its a quadrillion dollars or more.  Here is the scenario: fiat starts hyperinflating sometime in the future (perhaps decades from now) but its almost a certainty that purchasing power of dollar and fiat will go down significantly in the long term; meanwhile bitcoin has survived and thrived, retaining top position or venerable position or both among cryptocurrencies.  People thus dearly buy bitcoin to safeguard their wealth as government starts printing Zimbabwe style dollar bills.
