I like to mine, but now I think that it is very risky to build a farm, but I really want to, I decided to make the project — "gaming computer", I want to mine on it, anthill it will payback, and then to play.

What are the best hardware to choose? Only two I am interested in, it is a graphic card and a processor:

The processor — I look at AMD Ryzen 7 1700X, it costs $ 240, makes 600 H\s on Monero, current profitability is $ 0.61 per day, the current payback time is 393 days.

Video card — Radeon RX VEGA 64, it costs $ 850, gives out 2050 H\s on Monero, current profitability is $ 2.5 per day, current payback time is 327 days.

What do you think? Is there any better hardware for a powerful gaming computer with less payback?

I did a typo in word maiMing, but I am gonna live it as it is Smiley

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

I think it's pretty good, Vega is excellent in Ethash or other coins but it has power consumption needs to be considered. or can replace it with the RX series maybe it's more money saving and the gaming display is not too bad either.

Hi there friend,

I see you want a computer for maiming. Think you are going about it all wrong.  Might I just interject a bit here and say it’s a blunt instrument, so its not exactly stealthy, silent and easily concealable, I mean have you ever tried to put one these in your back pocket or down your pants for a quick stealth kill late at night …. well no you haven’t maybe that’s why you are inquiring for this unique equipment.

Never fear I can help.

You don’t need to worry about all that garbage specs and mumbo jumbo about video card this or video card ram Samsung that. I even charge a once off Dev fee.  What Ill do just for you is supply a clean piece of shit laptop so you can do whatever you want and give you some real maiming weapons? I dont sell maiming computers to noobs, need to build trust first.

Screen shot of the goods -- Ill even throw in the masturbation gloves for free.

Sorry friend,

It was rude of me to assume you are a noob, Ill show you my warez and what I got so you can make a better informed decision. Plus my other buyer pulled out.  Fking scammer.

My Maiming computers only come in one model friend, I dont believe in half arsing it when it comes to these state of the art items. So a one size fits all approach.

Its a 1000 round per second Chain Gun (gatlin gun) nestled in this PC tower, Now it only fires for 1 sec and I should have accounted for more room instead of adding  the cool drink spot.  You always get thirsty lugging this around looking for a kill or to maim someone.

It comes with a side panel

Weighs about 150kgs when fully loaded but boy wont you looking f king cool using it.

Nonsense - simply strap your current spec gaming PC to an anvil, and drop it from a great height onto your target. Maiming PC accomplished!

I have effectively similar system using 1950x threadripper with vega fe and 64GB ram (got Ram cheap)
1950x does approx 1200h/s untuned and vega fe does 2200h/s getting average 3.2kh/s pool side for $4.62 per day current price

I have 3 other vega fe not added yet - all mine are water cooled though so I can push them easy

I haven't tried gaming though but I guess it would be fast ? not sure about maiming though  Grin

That’s all cool, but I cannot understand why you are writing so much text? And wasting time on posting those links, I would understand if you where doing it for some signature bounty campaign, but you are not wearing one, you are really a mystery for me, my friend.

Ok, I have found a mistake, now I got it Smiley

First, I also thought about threadripper, but I don't know where else except mining I could load such CPU Smiley, so I stopped on Ryzen 7, I think it would be enough for games, and also it has faster payback time.

I would be i9, GTX 1080ti, good ram and motherboard. For gaming I prefer Nvidia anyway (despite the fact that AMD is on the same level) + intel's processors are great.
Btw building a GPU mining farm isn't that risky, making asic for ethereum or possibly for other coins in near future, still doesn't kills GPU mining because there are other and profitable coins too + there is a potential that some of them may rise.

Yes, it seems to me that ASICs will not be a threat to the Ethash algorithm for a long time, because Bitmain did not manage to make ASICs which would be very different from GPU farm, and they will be producing them for a long time until there will be enough of them to severely increase hash rate on ETH, for me it is more scareful the reward reduction to 0.6 Etherium, and also ASICs under Equihash, because they will throw out many cards from Zcash on ETH.
