If you can find anyone willing to work for $25/yr that won't make you look bad, I say you need to get that on your resumé and start applying for all the head of HR jobs you can find. And don't settle for anything less then the high 6 figure range for your salary, you'll save the company that hires you at least that much per quarter.

I suspect that if any AMD engineers spends so much as a minute of company time trying to optimize mining instead of BF3 or MW3 framerates, they'll pay for it at their next performance evals or during the next round of layoffs. Same goes for anyone in marketing who's not pushing their cards' advantages in past, current and future games. Plus, it's not like they actually need to market their cards' hashing prowess, we do that for them just fine without compensation or oversight.

Face the reality. The pathetic, tiny 100% CPU bug has been sitting in their developer forums since three releases ago. That is a clear indicative that they don't give a squat about Bitcoin.

Because they earn more from entry cards than high end cards, that's why high end cards are only manufactured in limited quantities. Look at Intel, everybody knows their graphic processors are crap but they still dominate the market.  There are more Intel IGPs used than IGP and discrete cards from bot AMD and NVIDIA combined. Gamers, BTC miners, BOINCers are just pieces of rocks in the middle of a desert made-up of ordinary users.

I cant help but laugh at people commenting on the reviews of entry level cards. "Why did AMD/NVIDIA waste their time in this %@#$? Blah, blah, blah.""

lulz at the thought of  AMD caring about a mining card or the mining crowd. like they would even bother putting blurb in an ad saying "great for mining!" - whoever came up with THAT idea would be gone in a heartbeat. that space would be better used bragging about something gamers would notice.

The 100% cpu bug is a opencl bug, so not a bitcoin-only thing. Everytime you use opencl, there is the bug. They don't fix it, why they should care about bitcoin
