Okay -- I am a multi-millionaire in SBC (sha256) now. Just a few hours.  Diff currently ONLY 16!!  Get in before it goes up!  (or not)

My Sebucoin.conf (works!):

gen=1
server=1
daemon=1
listen=1
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9527
addnode=54.201.26.102

client/wallet: http://coingen.bluematt.me/build/7faad07f.zip

0.00000001 SBC is the smallest unit of currency possible, I think.   Shocked Grin Shocked

......but of course it will end up getting all too confusing for everyone as out of all the letter combos available you've attempted to pick one that in your thread title and OP is used by a coin already  Grin

So when the masses circle around the high value coingen coin and decide to go buy some they will of course be buying the well established coin thats already on exchanges with the same SBC short code.  Looking forward to the massive demand for Stablecoin  Grin

SBC = Stablecoin which is already on 3 exchanges (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=349198.0)

Good luck with that.

That's not really a hard rule.  There's nothing that says coins won't have overlapping shortened names.  They're bound to, as time marches on.  Exchanges have both long and short names, typically.  So no real problem.

Sebuh is backed by a computer store and printing shop in California...tentatively  =P  I'm thinking he might let loose of some of that mining gear for SOME price...who knows.

Don't get me wrong, not saying there are any rules around this.  It's just quite a lot of people do searches based on short code on here and elsewhere, just might make a new coin harder to find if it decides to start with a short code that is already in use. That's exactly how I found this thread in the first place, I was searching on SBC for Stablecoin!

0.00000001 SEB is the smallest unit of currency possible, I think.   Shocked Grin Shocked

I see from one of the posts above someone actually refers to 0.00000000x SEB, so may be the wallet calls them SEB, in which case it would be sensible to use that in the thread title.

It's a free world (mostly) so people can do what they like, just a friendly suggestion  Smiley

Sorry about that.  I meant SBC.  Probably would have been better to use SEB, IMHO.  But I didn't make it.  I don't think he's trying to glom any of StableCoin's fame, though.  It's based on his name.

I don't think Stablecoin has anything to worry about  Wink
I was just trying to give a helpful hint to the dev/OP in case he didn't know as the content of the OP didn't look too informed in general.  This isn't a thread I'm going to be following past the next 30 seconds!

Wow, man.  Rough.  It's not like Devs can't be hired to fix things.  Besides, these coins can scale to any project size.  I have no idea what the guy intends to do with it.  I just think there's room enough for everyone to have their own coin if they want.  Who knows what he has planned.  You need to be a genius to launch a coin?  Was DOGE genius?  Luck?

im also on twitter @sebuh_com

if anyone wants to give it a shot.

i made a little guide.

Missed the bitcoin bandwagon? And the dogecoin rocketship? Well sebuhcoin just started yesterday learn how to solo mine a crypto todawy with your cpu!

http://coingen.bluematt.me/build/7faad07f.zip -- Download Sebuhcoin.

Create a folder on desktop call it Sebuhcoin. Extract the zip into that folder. Run the sebuhcoin QT installer.

run sebuhcoin.

click start go type in %appdata% in teh search box. open Roaming

open sebuhcoin.

create a file call it sebuhcoin.conf create a new text document and rename the .txt part to .conf. if you cant easily do that then you can go to Folder options by clicking on windows 7 folder top left corner Organize > folder and search options > View > click off the checkbox for hide known file extension types. apply to all folders. now you can change a .txt file to a .conf file just by renaming it.

open the file in textedit.

paste in this information

maxreceivebuffer=20000
maxsendbuffer=20000
rpcthreads=30
gen=1
server=1
daemon=1
listen=1
rpcuser=***PUTINYOURUSERNAME***
rpcpassword=***PUTINYOURPASSWORD***
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9527
addnode=54.201.26.102

put in your own name and password. save the conf file. close and reopen sebuhcoin.

click on Help > debug Menu > Console > type in setgenerate true -1

you will now be cpu mining. type in gethashespersec and see how fast your going.

there should be a green check mark at corner of your wallet to tell you it is synchronized.

each block generates 9000 sebuhcoin.

furthur details soon.

**Edited to reflect new main node** 2/2/2014

I'd like to buy 20mm for .01

Ill have to accept your offer.

I only mined up about 20mil and difficulty is up a lot already it looks like. 1024.

were passed 10,000 blocks and its already doing 4500 a block.

main node had 8 people connected to it at once last night. not bad.

hope to have the website, forum, p2pool, and exchange opened up soon.

Payout halves every 10k blocks.  It started at 9k, and is already at 4.5k payout.

Would be nice to have a pool, though.  Not enough people know how to mine off the QT wallet/client.  Plus, it's all-or-nothing.  So CPU and even GPU miners will have a harder time finding blocks.  But it's still possible.

Yes, it's a sha256 coin.

I will add 10million Sebuhcoins to the bounty for a pool operator to add the coin.  I think a lot of people do better mining with a pool.

At current difficulty levels and my 21ghps, I got 55 blocks in the last 3hours 29mins.  55*4500=247500.

Not a bad haul.  Get in Miners, before the difficulty halves to 2250/block!

Sebuhcoin.conf (in %appdata%/Sebuhcoin/ folder)

server=1
daemon=1
listen=1
rpcuser=yourminingusername
rpcpassword=yourminingpassword
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9527
addnode=54.201.26.102

Just let the wallet sync first until you get the green checkmark.  And then you should be able to mine right off of the QT wallet until someone puts up a pool.

Here's my bfgminer conf file for mining it:

{
"pools" : [

   {
      "url" : "127.0.0.1:9527",
      "user" : "MiningUsername",
      "pass" : "MiningPass",
      "pool-priority" : "0"
   }
]
,
"api-mcast-port" : "4028",
"api-port" : "4028",
"expiry" : "120",
"expiry-lp" : "120",
"gpu-dyninterval" : "7",
"log" : "5",
"no-pool-disable" : true,
"no-show-processors" : true,
"no-show-procs" : true,
"no-unicode" : true,
"queue" : "90",
"scan-time" : "8",
"skip-security-checks" : "0",
"submit-stale" : false,
"shares" : "0",
"kernel-path" : "C:\\Program Files\\BFGMiner\\/share/bfgminer"
}

You basically want to set the queue to 90 (max) and set that scan-time to 5-8 seconds or so (since you don't have LP support mining this way)

And I call it all with a .bat file with the following two lines:
mode con: cols=120 lines=82
bfgminer --set-device NFY:osc6_bits=54 -c sebuhcoin.conf

Firefox doesn't work.  Explorer does, though.

Can't set payout address.  Email not sending out.

Also -- MPOS has the ability to add a bonus to the reward to the miners.  Are you willing to set something like that up if I send you the coins?  I was thinking something like double the payout on the blocks for the next couple hundred blocks or so.  So instead of 4500, they'd get the 4500, plus another 4500 bonus.

Thanks Gagetx!  Great work.  Sebuh has told me that he has successfully received payout too.  My coins are still maturing, so I couldn't test that.

You are already applying 500 bonus to every block found by miners.  That makes your pool more profitable than solo-mining.  And, those with smaller amounts of hashing power (cpu, block erupter 333mhz, etc) can now benefit from mining.  Excellent!!

I sent you 1mm to up that to 4500 bonus for the next couple hundred blocks found by the pool.  That should effectively make it like it was before the block halving that occurred at block 10k.  We may do something similar after the 1mm gets used up.  Maybe half that amount (2250 bonus/block) for a couple hundred blocks.  Then half that again once more (1125).  So maybe about 3mil extra in bonuses overall.

Man, i wish I had gotten the source code for this.

Is it possible to decompile a windows binary bitcoin fork client application so we can make some security vulnerabilities go away.

Why would you remake/revive a BTC fork (it was a fork I think)? There are better alternatives now and huge competition. What can a simple BTC fork offer? Not to mention all the ASIC-s.  Huh
