Geth fast sync question: how to increase blocks number with stored state?

Hi!
Geths fast sync mode allows for storing state for 128 last blocks. I would like to increase that number to 1000 or 10000. How can I achieve that?

BTW: is it a good place to ask ethereum technical questions or is there a better resource for that?
