Yes of course bitcoin deserves to be an asset. I also think that bitcoin is an asset and it's hard to call it currency and currency that can be used as an asset, depending on how you will use it.

i think bitcoin is a currency and at the same time an assets in the sense that due to the volatile nature of bitcoin it tend to generate interest as the market keep growing, and again when you hold bitcoin for a long time it become an assets which has the ability to double or even triple the amount you invested on it and the government see bitcoin as an asset and not generally bitcoin is an asset.  I read about this news that in south korea bitcoin is legally become recognizeable as asset. I do think bitcoin is a currency and not an asset. I dont know whether this is good news or not for cryptocurrency. One thing i believe with legalization from goverment i do think more investors will come to invest in bitcoin, but i think if bitcoin become an asset its not as it suppose to because i believe bitcoin should be a currency which is currency is for transaction and asset is not for transaction.

Not officially but somehow yes, Due to its price which is high and do contain a highest volatility rate on the market bitcoin became an asset investment mainly becauae of price variation. Time has come that digital investment ismore beneficial than the physical ones.

if in my opinion bitcoin is the same as the local currency by saving earning interest from the bank and it is an asset for profit as well as bitcoin can be said to be an investment with bitcoin
