Best bet for Neptunium fans who get burned if the dev abandons the project are to come join the Monero or Aeon communities - both working with heavily modified Cryptonote protocols as well.

Yes Aeon and XMR. But Aeon need some dev action, there is no updates for 2 years.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Make a .bat file.
Put in there:
Quote
neptuniumd.exe --seed node 91.115.178.25:2556
pause
Change the IP number to the one you have.
Start the daemon with that .bat file.
After the synchronization start the wallet (simplewallet.exe).

Try to not add nodes. Just click the neptuniumd.exe, wait 1-2 hours or more to synchronize and then open the wallet.

Try this: 80.235.7.253:4460
And this is mine (for a few hours): 79.103.51.10:4460
Make sure you leave the neptuniumd open for at least 2-3 hours to synchronize.
