Hi,

I probably did something stupid.
I have a coinomi wallet BCH addres, some new format.
What is not usable in Coinpot.
I have converted the BCH addres to an old address format.
This addres has been accepted by Coinpot.
So I did a withdraw to coinomi,
You guess it all, I did not receive any BCH
So my question is, can I somehow still receive my BCH?

Well, you should have received the coins. Both formats are linked to the same address.

Are you sure that the transaction went through? Can you check your address in a BCH block explorer?

Hello, thank you for the reply

In block explorer I only see an earlier transaction of 2
months ago.
When I click on this transaction in coinpot (marked as completed) there is info in blockchair.
The other transaction is not in my wallet, if I click on it in coinpot (also marked complete) I get a Blockchair error 404
like this:
404
It seems like we couldn't find what you were looking for neither on
The Bitcoin blockchain, nor on the Bitcoin Cash blockchain, nor on the Ethereum blockchain 😞

So my question is, can I somehow still receive my BCH?
isn't there a warning that sending to old address format may resulted the loss of your coin?
I think you have to manually extract its private key and resend to new address format
can you tell us the old address and the transaction id of your withdrawal?

That's wrong. Like I said, both addresses format are linked to the same address. You can see that by using this tool[1] to convert from the old format to the CashAddress format and vice versa. It doesn't matter which format you use. The funds are going to the same address and can be spent from the same address.

OP: Post here your address (old format and CashAddress format) and the tx id from Coinpot.

yes I know, the same private key will work for both format addresses
but when I tried here https://bch.btc.com/tools/address-converter (not coinomi site)
there is a warning "Don't send BTC to this address" under legacy address

@OP did you convert, copy and send to the correct address (shown confirmed on block explorer)
if so, then you need to contact coinomi otherwise ask coinpot about your withdrawal

edit: crossed my foolish statements Embarrassed

Because you are supposed to use it as a BCH address. If you send BTC, your funds will be stuck until you import the private-key in a BTC supported address.

I also get this warning, seems logical to me, it is a bch addres Smiley
You still didn't do what I said above... How am I going to help you if you don't post your address (old format and CashAddress format) and the tx id from Coinpot?

Still missing ? Coinpot takes a day or two to broadcast the transaction maybe, otherwise it sounds strange, the BCH should appear in either Coinomi or coinpot if it fails :S

Sorry, I'm working on it.
I don't understand that of the transaction id, I told about the error 404, so I don't have it.

I came across this post which describes the same problem

Which link do you get when you click on Coinpot's transaction? The one that leads you to a 404 page.

old: 1HEs4ZjphJrsJeX6BVViVAxYYLdXTenE9w
cashaddress: qzezzdvsauxcjyknzpucjpssm4ternmpwq64a8gqtfz
Did you mistype the last char (z) of your CashAddress? Or is this exactly what you put on Coinpot? Because the address ends with gqtf. There is no z at the end.

The address 1HEs4ZjphJrsJeX6BVViVAxYYLdXTenE9w on the CashAddress format is qzezzdvsauxcjyknzpucjpssm4ternmpwq64a8gqtf

See the difference:

qzezzdvsauxcjyknzpucjpssm4ternmpwq64a8gqtfz (the one you posted)
qzezzdvsauxcjyknzpucjpssm4ternmpwq64a8gqtf (the right one)

The link of the coinpot transaction is the 404 page.
I used this address in coinpot: 1HEs4ZjphJrsJeX6BVViVAxYYLdXTenE9w
I never used the CashAddress for a transaction because it was not accepted by coinpot, perhaps by the "z".
In any case, I had written down the CashAddress incorrectly.
I have also checked it in coinomi.

you are right, sorry for my stupid post... I've crossed it now

@OP no new or unconfirmed transaction to that address, so you need to ask coinpot for the issue
can you post info or a screenshot of the withdrawal transaction?

This is all I have, hopefully the link works.
I want to contact coinpot but they say they usually don't react.
I will wait a few more days, perhaps the amount will come out.

I have done a new withdraw successfully.
It is already in the Wallet.
When I looked at the Blockchain I noticed difference in the number of units of the failed transaction in coinpot.
for example: 0.0003914425
                   0.00010000
I think i noted two digits unnecessary, when I submitted the amount.
