It is unlikely that anyone close to the crypto-industry people can still be surprised by the news about fraud with this type of assets. Unfortunately. However, a new phenomenon in fraudulent circles comes to an entirely new level - in the "honeypot" scheme, fraudsters themselves become ... fraudsters themselves.
The first incident of this kind was recorded when the attacker published his secret key to the crypto-purse "MyEtherWallet" in the chat room. The fraudster account had $ 5,000 in equivalent of Minereum tokens (MNE) - the asset was created on the basis of the ETH blockbuster and is positioned as the "first token with a new approach to mining on smart contracts."
According to analysts, the project is gradually dying, but "has constantly low cost", which allows you to sell tokens for almost $ 4 thousand per copy.

Immediately after the publication of the private key, all the chat participants rushed to assign MNE, which were on the account.
But not everything is so simple ... The purse actually contained MNE tokens worth $ 5,000, but it did not have ETH to pay commission for transfers inside the etherium network. Therefore, for the transfer of MNE tokens, "treasure hunters" had to first translate the required amount of aether. But none of the thieves could even think about how,
that the organizer of the idea wrote a special script that redirected all the incoming crypto currency to another account. Due to the fact that the necessary ether was not credited to the purse containing MNE, all tokens remained inviolable.

As a result, at the time of processing the material, on the secret purse was already almost 0,73 ETH.
