@cryptodevil

I think it's important to have people out there that try to explain how mining actually works to people that are brand new to cryptocurrency.  That's why I offered evidence to show that scrypt.cc's historical returns are unjustifiable based on the actual profitability of scrypt coins.

But no matter what, evidence-based arguments are answered with complete nonsense.  Goldman Sachs was one of several companies that invested a total of $50 million in Circle, a website where you can buy Bitcoin with a credit card.  What the hell does that have to do with scrypt.cc?  As you pointed out, absolutely nothing.

Scrypt.cc says they paid like $2.50 per mhs for their hash power.  That's far less than what it will cost even when next generation hardware comes out.  There's no evidence they're actually mining, their returns are not based on reality, their payouts don't vary enough to account for the constant conversion from scrypt to Bitcoin they pretend they're doing, dissident voices are routinely muted in their chat, the list goes on...

These are things that we see and know are clear evidence of a scam, especially considering how easy it would be for scrypt.cc to prove us wrong if they were actually mining.  The evidence is out there for anyone to see.

My point with all this is to say, maybe it's time to throw in the towel.  The overwhelming tidal wave of stupidity will continue to crash down no matter what.
"In a nutshell, the network works like a distributed timestamp server, stamping the first transaction to spend a coin. It takes advantage of the nature of information being easy to spread but hard to stifle." -- Satoshi

Since it obviously still happens, once again, the warning:

DO NOT OPEN ANY LINKS FROM THE CHAT / TROLLBOX!

I can hardly believe that I really have to say it.

More specifically, the links to "Cloudminer.biz".

The "client" that can be downloaded from this site is demonstrably a Trojan.

And yes, I'm sure. VirusTotal, and similar tools do not recognize it.
Your anti-virus program does not protect you against it.

This Trojan is undetected! (yet)

This nasty little beast, digs deep into your system, occupy various system processes (and your browser)
and transmits sensitive data (eg your login information to Scrypt.cc ..) to its creator.

I actually thought common sense would be enough.
But if you shall download a "client" to get free Hashrate (already the 'free' is suspect),
every small Alarm lamp in your brain should suddenly begin frantically blinking.

Be careful people!

Edit:
small correction.
An exception, of course, the two excellent projects sccstats.com and msgrelay.com Wink

As a Linux Mint/Ubuntu user, I am not worried about this at all, lol.

I should have been read about reviews before investing. Escape when you have chance.

Escape?
Things are great at SCC.
This thread has become the same 4-5 guys circle jerking on ponzi theories.
While the circle jerking happen over here.
SCC's stronger then ever over there, where it matters.
I just withdrew 48 BTC and it hit the blockchain in 2 minutes after I clicked the confirmation link.
Thanks to Marcelo and the crew, good shit.  Cool

After reading all the warnings, I tried to make a withdrawal from the site. I know it is a small one, about 0.01 BTC, but I must say right after I confirmed the withdrawal, it went through and here is the tx: f95d2de21c1ec18891e9a9ae5081827918c75404d357e6bcd1d7ef1ccf668ada .

I understand that there aren't proofs to be sure this is a ponzi or a legit cloud mining operator, but I can tell for sure that I've been able to withdraw my funds at the first try, without any trouble.

48 BTC and #1?
#1 has around 400 BTC invested.
I personally invested 220 BTC, have withdrawn 380 with today's withdraw.
And I'm still in the top 10.
You obviously have no clue what you're talking about so I won't waste my time with you.

Thanks for the advice, I will keep you updated whenever I will have some troubles. Anyway I've just put 0.1 BTC on Scrypt.cc so I am not going to lose so much even if it shuts down right in this moment...

Have a great night sir  Smiley

Ive been reading all the posts. Ive been here since mid april and have no complaints (actually zero). Have done 100 withdrawals n many deposites n no problem at all !

Im not promoting the site but I dont see why anyone calls Marcelo a theif. In fact he does communicate with people and solves issues.

you can bitch and cry all you want about ponzi and thieves. it sounds to me like jealousy.
A lot of people were scared and trying to get out and simply overloaded the server.
I bought 10,000 khash and thought it did not process so I did it again until it did (a total of 6 times) and ended up with a negative balance for a while but it worked itself out when a deposit came through an hour later. If the server was not straining under the load this never would have happened
btw I had ticket 515 with a .66 Btc discrepancy. it was resolved within 3 days this was my fault not theirs. So he does resolve issues. You spend your time complaining and such - I will take my profit and be happy

One other thing I'm wondering about, is the website. On the same IP are 41 other websites.
Guys are always talking about server load, but have the website on a VM? I'm still not on the scam side, but this is a point which makes me thinking...

Any ideas (beside repeating scam, scam scam...)?
