Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Just signed up here. I heard about scrypt.cc yesterday. It seems too good to be true really, but some people on this forum said it's legit. I put in 2.3 BTC at 5:00am EST this morning, and so far have been consistently getting around "0.00010571945610659331 BTC" in the balance every 10 minutes.

*Edit* So it has been giving me exactly as I calculated so far...

Pic: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/22002474/profit%20so%20far.png

The site really sucks in terms of user friendliness, and overall GUI. It took me a while to realize that the money I make goes back in the balance. You'd think they would use AJAX, and have some bouncy coin or something fly up to show you got coin, or Mario bouncing on the screen... hmmm nm.

It seems to be that when you put money in you're banking on a few things:
1) People will still value crypto during your investment (most likely they will, crypto seems like the future - especially with video game / facebook generation - as they have so much trust in digital world)
2) The myriad of coins scrypt.cc is mining are still viable  (seems likely not to)
3) The price of bitcoin doesn't plummet (i have no idea)
4) Your friend doesn't sneak on and steal your stuff
5) Scrypt.cc is secure so hackers don't destroy scrypt.cc (hopefuly not)
6) Government doesn't shut it down (hopefuly not)
7 ) Natural disaster or you die (hopefuly not)
8 ) It's not a some kind of scheme (crossing fingers)

I am almost positive I logged into the site without https, and that was rather unsettling, but it seems fine now.

You should always see https:// on the login page and from then on.

As for the risks, I really don't understand why BTC plummet would be a risk, in fact we seem to make more BTC on days with big drops.

The biggest risk has been ASICs for scrypt and in fact a few weeks ago it looked like profits were sagging.   Scrypt.cc has been converting some of the GPU farm to also mine scrypt-N and scrypt-Jane and for the last couple of weeks profits have been strong.

I think there are plenty of risks you didn't list, but there is risk with everything in the bitcoin world.  I'm most concerned that the market there is small and if you have a lot there, it could take days to sell it out.   By a lot, I mean well into the MHS.   (> 10 BTC worth)  Sometimes there is many sellers jumping in front of each other, this is a great time to buy but there is always the risk I could be one of those guys someday.

No risk worse then other sites Smiley
User friendliness... Well, it's not that bad actually. I like the clean layout. Several functions could be easier or added, but as long as the place is in beta, fine. It'll be coming, without a doubt. Besides, compared to bit-mining.co for example, scrypt.cc is two or three classes better.

In the mean time, even the winning streak on scrypt.cc is now affected by dropping coin values (thanks to Chinese banks warning coin companies to stop using their bank accounts...). In the previous two weeks or so, profit was way better then anywhere else, but it dropped now also. Better times will be coming again. For the (re)investers, people are selling cheap now, great opportunities Smiley

Looks like it, I just went back on to scrypt.cc today... the profit rates lowered quite a bit... like 40-60% ish decrease

Actually we are only down about 1/3, puts us back to the more typical returns.   The returns the last two weeks were on the high side.

Hello;

Site users have met with my friend recommend your site with. but I have some concerns. I dont plan to invest. KH / s What is your prediction on the unit price. I went today and bought a 2000 kh say. but one week later due to need of cash if I need to buy the system if there are foreign sites as well as the buyer is selling now, if there is no waiting for buyers trying my form. Some other firms engaged in the work you do within the site provides information about the current use and potential use, pruning gives extra confidence. Such a chart is added transaxle case. Thank you in advance for the information you provide.

Good Work;

I have legitimate concerns but I invested anyway. It is all based on faith that the site is legit as there is no proof, but I suppose that is the same for anything crypto. I can understand why the company figurehead wants to be anonymous; that is the case with a lot of people in the world of crypto.

One thing that I would like to see is the blockchain info where the altcoins are converted to bitcoin.

That would be a start to showing the legitimacy of scrypt.cc, while maintaining anonymity.

Coins are converted at an exchange and then BTC is withdrawn.   It is divided up internally to scrypt.cc.   There would be very little to see on the blockchain.

He's saying that currently there aren't enough members to buy away a big load of khs in as short period of time. But that's now, and the future is unknown. It's also not unlikely that 10BTC won't be enough then to buy yourself in properly Wink

raskul, if you think you miss payments then create a ticket at the site and request an audit on your account

Would you mind explaining this a bit more? Sounds like you're saying if you invest more than 10 BTC in scrypt.cc you'll have a tough time in the future selling your KHS back to BTC?

No, it is just that if you want to sell a large amount, for example 10 BTC worth, it could take days to get a reasonable price.  This isn't a major problem, just something to be aware of.   In the future it might not be an issue.

Yea, pretty much that is it.   Of coarse you can always sell very low and get quick bitcoin, but that isn't my goal.

We see this going on today.   Large blocks are stepping in front of each other to sell and now the price is below .00143.   Good time to buy because it won't stay there and BTC is cheap.

That's a pretty huge claim... any details mate? Email exchanges, anything?

I had a response regarding my referral earning not showing in my balance. I've been advised that it's a bug and they will be auditing my account to ensure all earnings are credited.

will keep you posted, just about to log in...
