If you want long-term investment, choose bitcoin, because it has more potential than most coins in the future. But if you want to choose a short-term investment, then try to ripple, because the price of ripple temporary can reach about 3-5 $ or higher.

Bitcoin is a promising investment, digital currencies that will not be replaced. Although it has a big risk bitcoin still exists and continues to have high value.
Ripple is a coin that is often used for short-term investments, this is to anticipate low value and is a centralized currency that is easily regulated.

In principle, I still choose Bitcoin as the most potential coin in my opinion to this day, but there is nothing wrong with dividing a portion to invest in Ripple which currently also has a pretty good growth. It seems like dividing 70% for BTC and the remaining 30% for Ripple, it will be better. Why not?
Thank's and goodluck!

I believe that bitcoin is such a coin that will always be in the trend and will always grow and develop. And no ripple will not hurt him. it seems to me that ripple is just a dummy.

Newsflash: Bitcoin Price Pops to $6,745 ahead of Quarterly Futures Expiration

The bitcoin price broke out of its early-week slump on Thursday, scrambling back above $6,700 to return to its weekend levels.

Bitcoin had entered the week near $6,700 after briefly extending as high as $6,815 last Friday. However, the flagship cryptocurrency took a moderate dip on Monday, a correction that ultimately forced BTC below $6,400 on Tuesday ahead of a recovery back to $6,500 on Wednesday. That’s where BTC/USD continued to trade for most of Thursday morning and afternoon, at least until 19:48 UTC when a surge in volume carried the bitcoin price from $6,549 to $6,690 in less than four minutes. At 20:02 UTC, bitcoin broke past $6,700 for the first time since Sunday and popped as high as $6,745 one minute later. As of the time of writing at 21:09 UTC, BTC/USD was trading just above the $6,700 level at $6,702 on Bitfinex.

Several traders have noted on social media that tomorrow, Sept. 28, is the date that quarterly futures expire on OKEx, BitMEX, and CME, events that tend to be accompanied by increased price volatility in the spot markets.

Hypothetically speaking, if someone offers you $10,000 to hold in one coin, only condition is to hold it for 2 years, which coin would you choose to hold?

You can choose between only 2 coin, one is bitcoin and other one is ripple. What would you choose?

Off-course The King BTC. Ripple is not a blockchain. I repeat ripple is not a  true blockchain. So repeat again, and again, again, until everyone understand it.

I chose to invest it at bitcoint, for long-term investment in my opinion the best choice is on bitcoint, investing in bitcoint is certainly very profitable for the future
According to CoinMarketCap, Ripple is in the third place but it is still good. It is simply difficult to predict if Ripple starts growing again unexpectedly or falls but I try to stay away from the centralized currencies as I do not trust them. I choose Bitcoin.

Btc is controlled by chinese miners. I prefer xrp with his perfect management and smart strategy.

Wow, seriously? So you say that bitcoin is decentralized no longer but prefer to choose ripple instead because it is decentralized? The question was to choose between two cryptos I suppose, but there is only one crypto in this list

I don't believe in decentralization ))) All the market is terribly manipulated. Read about products developing by Ripple - xCurrent, xRapid, xVia, Coil, Codius, Cobalt update, MoneyTap launched with SBI today etc etc etc. That's I call market penetration, not the XVG/Pornhub partnership  Grin
I want to select the Ripple as the main coin became the mainstay of my coins to make a much bigger profit again in the future.
so it is great to have Ripple that is capable to generate more profit.
the time Ripple has many improvements that bring progress to its development are present for now and in the future.
It is able to bring a great change for the benefit of that is able to attain greater going forward in the future.

I wouldn't have a second thought about this.

I will never exchange bitcoin for any altcoin if someone would give me money to invest on crypto's.
Other says that you should not put the egg in one basket and i can say that this 2 coin is good to hold for long term. Still the big percentage of my investment is in bitcoin because all of thing i can do with bitcoin and the other coin can not, time to time we can used our bitcoin hold or cashing out easily unlike the other coin that we need to convert it to bitcoin before able to withdraw
I can't say if the other one is also a good long term hold. XRP is centralized and this isn't the same as bitcoin.

I'll stay to bitcoin as this is the greatest portion of my portfolio so don't ever doubt the king.

Ripple has overtaken ethereum being the second largest cryptocurrency in market cap. However, some experts say that this situation is temporary and only for short time. They say ripple's rise is due to speculations. For whatever reason it is, ripple is being recognize and might lead to its gaining in value.

A good choice, I fully support you, because I also think that the best long-term investment is all about investing in BTC, I probably would have been very surprised if many people chose something else

voted for ripple because if btc rises 10x that means xrp will rise 10x at least as dolar pairs Cheesy and if xrp rise on btc pair too that means it will rise much more on dolar pairs Cheesy in 2 years you can make 20x from bitcoin as potantial but you can make 100x from xrp Cheesy

I choose bitcoin, but I'm not sure about that. Ripple shows very good potential right now and it still very cheap, I'm sure that both of it can brings profit for me, bitcoin looks more stable for me. However ripple can brings much more profit even if it will be 5$.

If I made such an offer and I had to choose, I would choose bitcoin with absolute certainty. After all, bitcoin is a more stable cryptocurrency, which means that bitcoin has fewer risks and more chances of success in 2 years.

Of course, it is better to choose bitcoin. But this is in terms of reliability of investment. But nevertheless I also invest in Ripple, because with the growth of bitcoin Ripple will give more profit than the same bitcoin.

Bitcoin is truly the king but for holding till 2years time ripple is definitely the ans , because no matter how fluctuate the market is ripple will give more return than btc in two years time.
for example, if btc is $10,000 now and I have ripple worth $10,000 too to hold for 2years then in two years btc turn to $100,000 am sure my ripple will be much more than that cause if it can only increase by 100% in it value in btc then I will have $200,000 in total. Like btc $10000 and ripple was $1 which is 0.0001 sat, So 10000 ripple will be 1btc which is $10000 and am sure it can't remain in that spot for two year and if it does 100% in sat then that is $20 per one with 1btc in $100,000 and 20$ into 10000 ripple will be $200,000 and don't forget that btc did 10x while ripple did just 1x .

At the beginning of the 2018 ripple was X7.4 times higher than the current price. As you know there is a big hype at the moment and even there is a big hype the price is %86 down from the all-time high. If you like to take some risk, go for ripple.

One year ago ripple was 3 times lower than the current price. And the price of bitcoin was 4300 usd, etherium was 300 usd. So, if we talk about takin risk I think it's wrong talking about ripple or talking about ripple ONLY. All the market is volatile, manipulated etc

There is no better choice than bitcoin. So even if you compare the BTC with altcoin, I would choose the BTC and 75% of the people who voted would do the same. And XRP is not a good choice to compare with bitcoin, if you ask ETH or BTC questions will have more comments
