Just checking to see why my coins don't seem to be staking. Everything looks good but after 4 months, I left the wallet open for several days and they never stake. This was 1M+ coins in one UTXO. Looking at the block explore all of the stakes seem to be going to a few addresses. The addresses have a total of 60 - 70K coins. Not sure whats happening, just wondering if anyone else is getting any stakes.
same here, staking is pointless and probably only beneficial to the main wallet popnomics keeps. also all pools seem to be down. |

same here, staking is pointless and probably only beneficial to the main wallet popnomics keeps. also all pools seem to be down. i have this issue also; several large data chunks running on pc for months, and no staking I'm glad somebody with some merit on this site has the same issue. I had a feeling my actual issue with the coin was gonna be labelled 'FUD' and dismissed. |

Hi, we are sorry to hear that you have not gotten a Minting block yet, we would not label this as FUD, it is a real issue that some users are having. We have been busy working on https://popnomics.com and considering solutions -> see below To be 100% honest, we did see a wallet with like 75,000 POP Mint a block one time! The problem is that when you are staking, you are only staking with a small fraction of the total supply of Popular Coins: 70,000 = 70,000/3,890,000,000 which can be reduced to: 1/55571 or 1 out of 55,571 Currently there is a High difficulty for Proof of Stake Mining and The Popular Coin Chain Only Produces about 10 PoS Blocks Per Day, this is due to the fact that the redistribution is not completely over and all POP V2has not been completely distributed. So basically your wallet has a 1 in 55,571 shot of minting a block and right now there are only 10 shots per day, so that means that you are pretty unlikely to solve a block on your own, kindof like PoW mining based on your hashrates is the same as Stake Weight Also, you are somewhat correct about the POPNOMICS wallet. POPNOMICS Wallet works with MeanXtrade, and Owner of MeanXtrade also is Popular Coin POP Chain lead dev and facilitating the swap on MeanXtrade, so that wallet gets a lot of Blocks because Popular Coin is exchange friendly and exchanges can mint if they have a live wallet and currency MeanX has the most POP on the exchange. With that being said, the best solution for this issue is "Pooled Minting" it is similar to proof of work pooled mining! - All users with small amounts of POP can have them saved on the Pool and the Pool will split the Minting Reward when a PoS block is mined by the Pool! We are working on setting up MeanXtrade as a Minting Pool! It will be functional in the near future! |

NO, actually Popular Coin is the opposite of a token. Popular Coin is considered a "Coin" because it has its own blockchain like bitcoin. What we have done is create a social economic system where users get paid when their posts and content is reacted to. The Key with POPNOMICS is the Points System which is technically different from a token as they are reset to 0 everyday. I am unclear what you are referring to by "unsold tokens"?? Popular Coin was fairly launched with zero premine, it was not ICO, new coins are distributed to the public via PoW Mining and PoS Minting |
