imagine the next gen of iphones/ipods had unique public keys per device.

then songs had unique public keys
they combine to make a multisig address

when someone buys a song that puts a token on the multisig. which then allows that song to be played but only on that particular iphone.

if found that somone has done a firmware hack on devices to allow multiple devices to have same addresses. then that address is locked off and the identity of the original owner of the abused device key gets a slap on the wrist

That sounds interesting.Music is a non targeted niche yet.Music industry is an ideal place where the benefits of blockchain can be utilised to the fullest.Right now, a number of managers and third party labels are involved which centralise an artist's album release.Matter of fact, an artist gets paid very limited from the total made by the managers/label.This needs to be decentralised so the dependency of the managers can be removed completely and the artists can release stuff on their own by timestamping stuff on the blockchain.

I think there are already few block chain start ups or tokens which want to disrupt music industry like voise but they aren't getting enough attention from both publisher and users. This is a very good news to all musicians,consumers, listeners and music enthusiasts. Music industry is so huge that sometimes there will be copy right infringement that will happening and no one can trace it because there's no universal database. With blockchain technology, music industry will definitely change and there will a universal database that can be accessed by anyone anywhere in the world. When it comes to artists and composers, they can make there own address for all their work and register it to the blockchain without anyone stealing their work.
