It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

the blake2b and blake2s algos are very similar.
blake 2s uses the same calculation method only the output is up to 32 instead of 64 digits long. i cannot imagine why blake 2s shouldnt run on the A3 smoothly. as blake 2s is actually mor simple and a downgrade of balke 2b. it looks just like a simple software update matter.
we just need a glorious nerd, to get us a simple blake 2s implemenation.
who wants to be that hero ?

please ! please !
do it !
do it now !
....and we will donate you gratefully ....

source code from bitmain for Antminer A3 possible? Then it's easier.

Hello to all
I'm trying not to start the fan of the A3 to 100% at each reboot as does the custom firmware blissz.
I compared the cgminer.conf files with that of the custom l3 and I did not find the parameter.
does anyone know something?
someone has found the parameter?
thank you

Hi!

@Kurmi:
I'm not quite sure, but I think you have to modify this at cgminer code not in cgminer.conf

"Custom" software, so own compiled version of cgminer would be easier when bitmain release the cgminer sia - blake GPL version...

btw, anybody read the manual of A3 and info about DC/DC converter:
BM: "The miner does not contain a DC/DC converter; therefore, higher input voltage will cause higher Mining efficiency."

Seems to me like "old" S7, which had no DC/DC converter on board, which means no voltage regulation via software...
maybe I'm wrong.

Overclocked mine to 681M for 988GH/s.  2 weeks -OK  sensors show 70/70/72.

How many HW faults are you getting per hour clocked at 681M? My A3 faults like crazy once I clock it above 650M...

I know I'd like to be able to change the voltage and speed of boards individually because some boards run much hotter then others.

Anyone who mods the a3 firmware and releases it on here will prob get a cease and desist order from bitmain, so dont count on it.
