good job!
Thank you, onwards and upwards!

Hello,

Just to confirm: Freewallet is ready for the coming update. We've just sent your this confirmation by email.

Thank you for getting back to us, we received your email.

The fork is now live!  Make sure you are on the new network or you will not receive the appropriately forked coins!  So far we can confirm that avensat (https://xdn.avensat.com/) and fairhash (https://digitalnote.fairhash.org/) mining pools have updated appropriately.  Minergate will update today but it looks like they haven't "flipped the switch" yet to the new PoW on their poolside front end.  If you have updated and your client receives any errors about a wrong block major version, have no fear, that just means that nodes that have not upgraded are broadcasting transactions based on the old network.  They will eventually fall out of the memory pool.  Be sure to read the instructions and change your miners over to "cryptonight_v7" PoW algo and mine on pools who have confirmed that they are on the new network.  Although the difficulty has been hardcoded to be lower to smooth this process out, it also depends on how many pools switch over and how fast they do so.  Sit tight and mine on a confirmed pool to help it go faster (more details here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4451957.msg40486343#msg40486343)

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

It seems that the FPGA and ASIC makers have already cracked CN7.

As I have said, it is a battle you can not win  FPGA is getting better it is a matter of software DEVS should never have change the algo. FPGA coders are keeping there code to themselves now when its open?Huh?

Well the coin has been "ASIC resistant" ever since it was created, I'm not sure how you can really blame devs for sticking to the original promise of the coin.  With or without a PoW update there would have been people who disagree--so you can't win with everyone.  It is very common practice for Cryptonotes to update their PoW to stay away from ASICs and we can keep doing this if we need to (pr if the community wants to keep doing so).  Keep in mind that this update does not just change the PoW...it also modifies the difficulty adjustment algorithm to Zawy's LWMA-2 so that those with extremely high hashrates can no longer perform hash attacks or timestamp attacks.  That's a pretty big deal and upgrade to the network.  It wasn't just about the PoW but the manipulation of the coin.

"but the manipulation of the coin." Fix that, focus on the utility of the coin, make it easier to use

Minergate will update today but it looks like they haven't "flipped the switch" yet to the new PoW on their poolside front end.

Can you confirm if Minergate have "flipped the switch" yet? Thank you.

Can you confirm if Minergate have "flipped the switch" yet? Thank you.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: DigitalNote must refork because although the post-fork difficulty was hardcoded to be lower to allow for GPU miners it was still too high.  This happened because we estimated the difficulty with the understanding that Minergate would support the fork.  They pulled a fast one on us yesterday and told us that they would not be supporting it even though they said that they were previously (all the way up to fork date!).  This caused our estimated post-fork difficulty to be much too high for the actual hashrate, effectively stalling the chain.  We are still in talks with Minergate so they may change their mind but in the meantime the dev team has decided to refork with a lower difficulty to keep the chain moving. It's a very simple change (although very important) and all funds are safe etc.

The exact refork height is now block #669369 which is in less than 24 hours.  We have sent the new code and binaries to all exchanges, pools and wallet services.  Please download the new core below and support the coin by mining it when we fork.  The difficulty will be fairly low post-fork until it adjusts upward so it should be very fruitful for GPU miners.  You must update or you will be on the wrong stalled network.  Thank you for understanding.  Beware if you mine on Minergate because you are not on the real chain anymore but rather the old one that is able to be manipulated and exploited (until further notice).

It is very important that you update to GUI v1.0.15c or CLI v5.0.2 to ensure that you are on the correct network.  Links below:

I moved my XDN workers away from Minersgate due to their current lack of support and I must say that the mining in one of the other pools is coming along very very nicely. When I compare what the Minergate calculator says vs what the calculator says in one of the pools I moved to and now what actually came into my wallet, I must admit that at the moment I am happy that I made the change!

Calculators based on current 750 h/s:
Minergate: 5.86161 XDN per day
"New" pool: 223.28 XDN per day

Approx. 12 hours since moving to new pool: Total Paid: 196.30 XDN

Yep.. all good. Thank you.

PS: Me wonders if Minergate will get their act together and support an ASIC resistant fork.

Please be aware that Minergate has not updated to v5.0.2 wallets. If you are mining XDN with Minergate, rewards will not appear on the new blockchain and you will not be able to transfer them to exchanges. Await for an update on this. There are many pools that are now supporting the new wallets. We will update these on our website. https://www.digitalnote.biz

Supported Mining Pools:

It looks like you had synced passed the fork block 669369 after the fork occurred.  You will need to resync your blockchain, please.

Updated my wallet and seems like I'm on the right side of the fork  Smiley
I hope we will be able to push XDN in the right direction again. All of luck to the dev!

No news regarding exchanges? Has Bittrex mentioned anything?

Bittrex, Upbit, Freewallet and pools besides Minergate have all been updated since the time of the fork.  HitBTC is not complying and also not opening their wallet since the old network is borked.  They asked for a quarter of a million dollars to update their wallet.
