Hello! So AMD Mantle is out, you can get it here. Just wondering if we would see anything for cgminer or any improvements in hashing speed. Share your thoughts here! |

It's supposed to "boost" FPS in games etc. Just click "Windows 8.1 / Windows 8 / Windows 7 (64-bit)" or select your graphics card and scroll down and you should see Catalyst V14.1 Beta. I've got a friend playing BF4 with it right now, he says the FPS is still the same. Although maybe that'll be a different story for mining. But then again maybe it's what people are saying it was going to be; to help crappier processors and actually do nothing. |

I doubt the Mantle drivers will do anything for you in things that aren't designed to take advantage of it. Isn't it a replacement for DirectX 11 for rendering? I remember when there was a big push to upgrade to dx10 from dx9 because dx9 could only handle so many drawcalls per frame before performance really took a hit and dx10 upped the limit. Supposedly Mantle does the same thing so that you can have alot more geometry on the screen without the huge perf hit.

I tried this and my r9 290 rate went down to 350 kh/s from 880.
