Hello guys,

i need help with my rigg and it would be great if you could help me out.
That is my rigg
https://forum.hiveos.farm/uploads/editor/p5/skd78dngsto9.jpg

I am using this OC for all cards:
https://forum.hiveos.farm/uploads/editor/rj/x08vsf95g7jc.jpg

You can see that my 8GB MSI Radeon RX 570 ARMOR 8G OC Cards take round about 100 watt each and are only hashing with round about 28 MH.
For the cards i created my own bios. But i just took the 1750 MHZ Timing to the 2000. I changed nothing else.

Can someone maybe explain me how i can gett the watt usage down and the hashrate high? I also saw a few ROM for 8GB Cards where they put the 1625 MHZ Timing to 1750 and 2000. And sometimes even 1500 to 1625, 1750 and 2000. Would that be a solution or is it just wrong?

Maybe there is also someone that could provide me a good ROM?

Thanks in advance.

my original ROM: https://forum.hiveos.farm/uploads/editor/xl/6mxh13ph24mc.rar
my modded ROM : https://forum.hiveos.farm/uploads/editor/u0/846ka4q113f4.rar

getting 28mh/s on modded rom @ 2000 mem?

pretty simple man, put your mem to 2250 Tongue

BAM, 30-32mh/s lol

BUT:  MSI armors are shit, SO....  28 may be max for you Cheesy

but try 2250 mem!

i use DPM "3" on hive for my 580's  (this will lower your wattage)

1150/2250 clocks, 32mh/s

Undervolting could solve this issue like what other recommended the only way to reduce the watt usage or decreasing the monthly electricity cost is undervolting and it can not affect the hashing rate.

I think you can follow this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1852812.msg18439619#msg18439619

Solving blocks can't be solved without my rigs.

Sadly i cant find a 2250 Mem on this BIOS. I really dont know what to do. 28 Hash is really not great.

Why are the MSI armors shit?  Embarrassed. And what Cards would you recommend?
I thought i hit the jackpot with the Samsung Memory.

Could you explain me how the DPM works? Why should 3 be better than 1, when 5 is default? Smiley really no clue !
Maybe i should also try to increase the Memory Clock to 2200 for the SAMSUNG cards.
Could you maybe explain me what the Ubermix (??) is?

I will have a look. Sadly im not working with WIN10 but with Hive OS. So no MSI afterburn for me:).

Thanks !

Your cards (According to the bios) are Samsung Memory, so use UBERMIX 3.2 Straps (777000000000000022CC1C00CEE55C46C0590E1532CD66090060070014051420FA8900A00300000 012123442C3353C19)

Set mem clock to somewhere between 2100-2150, core to 1150
Voltage between 820-880, start from 880 and go down each time to see what works well with you (usually 850mv works well).

I never tried MSI cards, but all my samsung memory cards work at the parameters above and consume 70-80W as per GPUZ (Around 100W from the wall) and hashing at 31.5 mhs

I think there may be a misunderstanding with the above said.

2250 mean Mem Clock on OC setting so that you wouldn't find it on your Bios editor (as you said you tried to see it at bios editor). i.e., you need to increase Mem Clock on your OC tool to 2250, and another thing following.

Yeah, like this:  Wink

Maybe i should also try to increase the Memory Clock to 2200 for the SAMSUNG cards.

Its not that i dont believe it, i just want to understand it.

Lowering wattage actually increases hash, up to a point.  So it's not surprising you're seeing lower hash accompanied by higher wattage.

The first thing you need to do, before experimenting with tighter timings in the bios, is to lower your voltage by at least 100 mv, and then decrease it further in small steps.  Your pic shows 970, that is way too high.  Your hashrate will increase just by lowering the voltage.

Yes. I will lower the voltage soon.
Will try to each card. Currently the electrity is for free. (not long anymore).
Can someone give me a tip for Samsung UBERMIX?:

I dont know who came up with the straps, but they are very popular for Samsung Memory and arguably provide the best hashrate for lowest clock (@2150 mhz)

If you google ubermix, you will find alot of resources and people recommending them.

Careful though, the strap you pasted has a space in the middle. (this is correct: 777000000000000022CC1C00CEE55C46C0590E1532CD66090060070014051420FA8900A00300000 012123442C3353C19), if you google the strap of ubermix, you will find a ton of info about them.

yes, 1750, and 2000 (just make sure when you paste it that there isnt any spaces.

Set core to 1150, memory between 2100-2150

check this guide on how to overclock/undervolt using OverdriveNtool: https://mining.help/

I will like to second the fact that this cards are shit, the MSI ARMOR's. Their performance vary across the board and I know this because I've been mining with 21 of this, 7 per rig, all with different memory and batch production dates. I can't remember when last I put the second rig on, I think the production batch does matter as the quality of chips would definitely depict the performance of the card. Anyone of them could start crashing the rig randomly, I've tried all I can at this point, but will soon get back to the rig that's not running.

They second rig runs, but would but as soon as you have an overclock and undervaluing that works with mining ETH without any issues, the moment you try to mine something else, you gotta find what works with that coin you want to mine.

Other then other hand, I have the ASUS STRIX ROG RX 570's too, the rigs never shuts down and all cards give the same hashrates, give or take .500mhz max different. All doing 29 even with undervolt. So, definitely MSI cards are shit regardless of the memory chip, it's just based on pure luck and or the production batch.
