There are many updates here but no news/update from the Ric home page (riecoin.org)
It would be great to have some updates there, some people can see Ric from coincap and open the home page only. I think
Could not agree more ... who is in charge?

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Looks like whoever is doing Denial Of Service attacks on Riecoin just did another round this morning, server hosting RIC explorer wallet just got DOS'ed.
Bit of a mystery those DOS attacks... RIC does not strike me as a worthy target?

that's so strange. as you say, why Ric? it's a fairly minor coin (in marketcap terms). Does this just happen to all coins?

Control the rate of extraction blocks from blockchain. More than half of the blocks resolved in solo mining Council to the one that solo mining moving part of the compute power even in the 2 pools available, so as to help even those who scores low hashrates. This solution will benefit to the entire platform Thank you

Botnet or not, it's easy to see where he was mining before, if anyone has followed the currency in recent months... Why all this power doesn't transfer it back on xpoolx or half-and-half between the two pools?

The pools are under constant dDoS attack by some idiot ... solo mining returns are way more profitable and less worries for botnet miner.

But doing so is penalized for Riecoin and can resulting in a decrease in foreign exchange values, users migrating to other cryptocoins etc ...

As a bot miner I would not care at all ... up to now the income has been pretty stable ... If he/she/they think it is not profitable enough anymore, they will move on to the next coin. Like x years ago it was profitable to mine BTC, LTC, DOGE via a CPU bot net ... Remember the good old times?

Remember the good old times? With all of today's antivirus solutions, firewalls and protections of the OS is not very easy to spread a botnet with thousands of zombies, you need to be able to get so much computing power as that user... But I may be wrong!

The pools are under constant dDoS attack by some idiot ... solo mining returns are way more profitable and less worries for botnet miner. It occurs to me that those who are solo mining could be the same person who carries out DDoS attacks on the pools! Or he and those who administer xpoolx might agree or even the same person, as a 5% donation that had the account of that pool now gives it to a RIC address that is part of the same pool's wallet... Mah..... I hope to be wrong because if so can become a currency with increasingly little interest. I still turn my advice to those who are solo mining to move at least part of the mining power on the 2 pools.
