Finally received a response from Poloniex...

"Thanks for reaching out!

We are currently looking into this issue and we will provide you with an update as soon as we have one. In the meantime, please do not create additional support tickets for the same issue as it slows response time. If you have more information to add about this issue, please respond here.

We appreciate your patience and will be in touch as soon as we have an update for you!

Best,
Poloniex Support Team"

Not really much to get excited about...

It is actually nothing to get excited about. I hold another coin where they failed to reactive the wallet for over a year now, ignoring hundreds of support tickets from customers with the same problem. Every now and then they send out the exact statement that you just posted.

To be honest it is nothing that people can laugh about anymore. They are withholding serious amounts of money. I have heard from someone who has like a quarter million dollars stuck because they don't respond to support tickets??? Jesus man!

Hi. The wallet from https://github.com/riecoin/riecoin lacks the importaddress API call and BIP65 is also missing, so it won't work with BarterDEX.
If the devs implement this 2 things, i will be happy to test and integrate Riecoin in BarterDEX.

hmm i'm not a dev so i cannot add or evaluate what that means. If someone here can do it or maybe inform gatra to do it would be amazing.

we need more exchanges and personally i believe that decentralized exchanges are the future.

Gatra is as dead as Satoshi unfortunately.

About listing, there is also the NVO DEX project. It is still under early development stage, but it sounds very promising.
NVO will propose a plugin system, such that someone could simply write a plugin to allow RIC trading with other currencies, without asking for any listing.
Unfortunately, the project is delayed, and for some reason, the developers are very quiet, so people are in doubt, some even think it is a scam, although I personally think it is legit.
It looks like many great projects are started by shy people.

If a pool owner could integrate a built-in RIC/BTC exchange, this would be really neat too.
XpoolX supports multiple coins, so it should be easy to implement a small exchange between RIC, XMG, XMR, ZEC, and VRM too, just by adding the possibility to deposit and trade.
With a trade fee, this would also profit the pool owner.
If the owner reads me, would you consider this?

We need to break our Poloniex dependency. That so-called "wallet maintenance" is simply unacceptable.

Although gatra has not been around, he did post that he is working on Satoshi 0.14.1 for Riecoin quite some time ago. If he is in fact working on that implementation it would likely include all of the prerequisites for integration with barterDEX or other similar platforms, but I do not have high hopes for completion anytime soon as it appears he is very busy with flixxo at the current time.

I had considered making an exchange for RIC but unfortunately do not have the time for such an endeavour. Maybe xpoolx could chime in on this?

I think we should work on adding BIP65 support for barterDEX, hopefully gatra can help merge the changes if someone can start on it.

Lastly, there are some exchanges that may want to add RIC, i have no doubt on some of the smaller exchanges RIC trades would make a large portion of overall volume for them.

Hi. I did not say nothing because is in a early phase but in working on it. At the half of this month it will be ready for some testers and, if all is going fine, at the end of april it will be working for all who want.

Logo design is pretty beautiful. Compared with the development of other projects, the development is slow. But seeing your plan is very orderly.
