Wow, what a disaster round for me. I only got 1 point for those games. And because of that, I got the wooden spoon.   I think this is my worst round so far.

I think that is Conradicals for this week so congrats to him.However my opinion on this since the Yellow Cap is awarded each week in case of a tie most exact scores for the round should be considered first as these are the most difficult results to find.

Why complicate things? Superbru has its own algorithm and it will always supply a yellow cap winner and wooden spoon to us. We just wait until they are awarded and that is it. You can read those rules on who will be placed first in case of the tie on their site.

If players have the same score total, rank is determined by the higher number of correct match outcomes predicted (right winner or draw regardless of score), then higher number of exact scores, higher number of close scores and finally lower total closeness. Note that it's not your total exact or close points that counts, it is how many instances of exact or close picks you have: so an exact counts as 1, not 3. Players still matching are tied for rank.

I'm not sure who got the yellow cap this week. Both are tied yet it's showing both conradicals and swogerino has the yellow cap on the leader board but not on the weekly round results.

Conradicals should has the yellow cap. In case of tie , it will be based on higher win points so in this case it will be conradicals with 6 because swogerino only has 5 so conradicals wins this round

Tie-breaking

In the event of points ties on a pool leaderboard, position is allocated on the basis of higher WP total, then higher MP total, then lower TDM. If scores are still tied after these criteria are applied, the players are adjudged to be tied. TDM is Total Distance from Margin: the sum of the differences between a player's margin predictions and the actual margins.

I thought it went by most correct scores first. That would make more sense to me perosnally.

Yeah, I agree. I thought that was how it actually was. Should go by exact scores, then close results, then results.

I thought he was just saying that's how it should be, not that's how we should award it here, but just to clarify I won't change it from what superbru use even though I agree that they should do it differently. It'll probably be fairly rare that users get ties anyway.

It is quite unfair that only 4 clubs can have those 2000 supporters at the moment. It would be much more fair if it was whole league or nobody.

Agreed there, it's actually an unfair advantage. I know it's often said football is played for the fans (although that's as far from the truth as it can be) and I am really glad there are fans inside Anfield now, but I'm not for creating differences.

Home atmosphere is a boost to any team and since only 20% of the league can currently accommodate them, I'd have preferred they waited a bit more.

Im not sure how do they "award" the wooden spoon in case of points tie like this but I guess it is based on your rankings. Between the three of us, you have the lowest rankings

You will surely be pulling down. I am not going to say that it's only me watching you but all of us to those who are in the top 5. Last year in the last round, last match I was pulled down from the second place to third place and you still have the entire season to go. 😛

I am going to pick my teams later today. I am planning not to follow the results of my picks until all the matches finish in this round LOL. It's heartbreaking realizing after every end of the match that you lost the points. Instead of 10 times let's have the pain only once 🤣

I am as everyone else I believe.This time I have gone for all the strong teams to win and except them
quite some draws.I moved up 15 positions on the standings so if I have another good week I can come near the top but I have a bad feeling for this week because the games look easy on paper but I expect a few surprises.

quite some draws.I moved up 15 positions on the standings so if I have another good week I can come near the top but I have a bad feeling for this week because the games look easy on paper but I expect a few surprises.

I'm still warming up myself. Was terribly far down the bottom for many weeks but slowly, slowly making my way up especially when the teams started losing and dropping points everywhere. Thinking it could be wise to make more draws and lower scores as the end of year packed schedule picks up.

Liverpool still the favorites but not by much. City still wondering how to win big consistently. Southampton surprise package!

My man, TOTALLY enjoying it! We were killing it last game, backheels and tight triangle passes in midfield with Trent, Williams, Gini... none of that today but I'll take 3 goals up any day. Mane assist, Mina breaks his duck. Then Bobby assist, Mane goal. Robbo returns cross to Bobby, Bobby slides one in.

You know what the bleeding bummer is? I KNOW I put in 3-0 prediction but I just checked and none of my week's picks were entered! Goddang =(

I watched it but didn't really pay attention to it.

I just regret that both teams really wasted chances, because I saw that both teams always had good opportunities to score goals, but there were no good finishes. Apart from that, I feel City benefited a little from the referee's decision because otherwise it is very possible that Southampton could have scored from the penalty spot but the referee did not take sides.
