He is! His assist statistics speak for themselves; last season, he played 30 matches, scored 18 goals, and only had 3 assists. Every club where he has played, he consistently ranks last in assists. He is only knows how to score.

I am wondering since he has great price in Fantasy and if we could get Rashford from two seasons before it would be a bargain. I am not really sure about this to be honest. When Liverpool played with Firmino, Salah and Mane were the actual strikers. Same was with Jota - but it was already seen last season with Mane centrally that he occupied a part of the space where Salah wants to be.

Nunez is a proper no. 9 player. He is a pure striker that will want that space for himself and Salah will be forced to play more like a winger and less like the main target man. We'll see how he'll adapt to the role, hopefully he'll be better than he was at the end of last season.

I've always said this about forwards: you do need to be selfish, at the right times. If you've watched enough games where you're getting 10 chances and they're trying to pass it into goal rather than just shoot, then you know how frustrating it can be. I loved Firmino because he was a foil, but if you play him alone, he's just trying to get everyone else to score instead of trying. That's where/why Salah and Mane were so good, they were selfish enough, and competitive.

So yes, the "downside" is you can get at each other, both trying to score. Anyone who plays also knows the frustration of seeing someone miss when the seemingly obvious option was you -- and that happened with Mane/Salah.

But it's the right kind of selfishness. The assists they both got speak for themselves, and btw, Mane/Salah assist-goal tally was the highest in the league for the 5 years they played together. Only Son/Kane got more in the last 2 seasons, but they operate as a front-two, whereas Mane/Salah are (usually) wingers.

Also, you should watch the AFCON scenes, Mane and Salah as victor/loser, that's where you see the true brotherhood. They had their bad times, as all brothers-in-arm do. I even seen Hendo get worked up with Trent, or with Fabinbo or Thiago, but I would never go so far as to say there was bad blood. In the end, it actually worked for the team rather than against.

I know but isn't it right for him to be the main man of Liverpool as he is being paid the biggest amount that Liverpool has ever spent for a player in their history in contract,that 400.000 Gbp weekly.They will want to make good use of it and not let Salah adapt but let others adapt in the favor of Salah.If I were the coach this is what I would be doing,trying to find the harmony of all team members but especially I would be concerned more about the harmony of the main player of Liverpool which in these last couple of years has always been Salah.This is just my opinion,Nunez maybe a great striker and maybe Salah can play really comfortably as a wing man but if they do like that,I am afraid they have to forget the title fight against Manchester City.

Mane and Salah were never brothers; they were simply professional teammates on the field.

Call me a fool and you the superfan but the Club changing their icon temporarily to Senegal colours, posting a full Banner of Mane saying congratulations minutes after he won, and me reading the Mane man of tournament report on our official website... were they supposed to fly a plane and banner and build a statue for him?

I'm really not aware of social media stuff, and I'm happy to be completely ignorant and unaware as I enjoy my life and enjoy my football.

Reason I ask is it looks like Betnomi are going to be doing their own pool and it seems silly to have two competing pools running so I suggested they do a fantasy one instead. Hopefully there's enough interest for a fantasy pool because having another PL pool running is going to severely effect new members joining this one.

best and worst signings you ask? I think Kalvin Phillips will be a flop. He's the most overrated english player right now imo, paying almost 50M for him is a daylight robbery... best sigining, Haaland. He'll prolly score like 30+ goals or something if he can stay injury free (big if).

He's not over-rated. He's underrated if anything. He was one of the best if not the best players for England during the Euros. As for money, all players are overvalued these days but if Harry Maguire is worth 90 million then that's a steal for Phillips. Leeds' squad has took a pretty big hit with Raphinia leaving today. They'll probably be fighting relegation all season again if they don't make good use of all that money they just got.

I would definitely like to join a pool like this. I hope that we can gather enough interest in a pool like this one as well. As you have indicated too, two pools having the same formats with each other would be no use other than dividing the prize pool. I'm not fully sure but I assume that Trofo was interested in fantasy football pools closely.

Fantasy Pool - Will be (0.05 btc). But there will likely be another PL pool, with a competing budget. I would love to see a pooled pool (with a big budget of 0.5 btc) but we live in the real world and we need to understand that companies like Sportsbet or Betnomi put something tangible into user endeavours, in order to get marketing returns. You yourself perfectly understand that none of these companies will agree to a common pool for obvious reasons.

In addition, I don’t think that there is a question of competition here, since users will have a double chance to take a prize, because, as I said earlier, in any of the pools there is a tendency when users stop making predictions because they understand that they will not get to the prize. Do not forget that it is thanks to healthy competition that the budgets of such events will become larger and larger every year, which will undoubtedly attract even more users.

I would definitely like to join a pool like this. I hope that we can gather enough interest in a pool like this one as well. Problem with multiple pools is not that it will limit membership, it is in discussion here on the forum. Talking from the top of my head, we already have Premier League thread, another self moderated Premier League thread and this pool. If we add one more, that is 4 topics about 1 thing. As long as both pools use Superbru it is just the question of fee, there is no extra workload involved in participating in multiple pools. I believe majority of us wouldn't have problem with that.

For instance I am playing about 10 fantasy leagues this season, it is just one team from my side.

If I were to make a early prediction, based on the recent outgoings of Leeds, I'd say they're going down this season. They'll be relying on Bamford (if he's still there?) to keep them up, and quite frankly Bamford is easily nullified.

Phillips is a great player, and I know there's usually a lot of hype around English players, but I genuinely think he's a good player, and would suit any mid table team or back up for one of the top eight. I wouldn't agree that he is overrated, and definitely isn't the most overrated English player in the league.

Also, I think I've filled up until round 6 at the moment? That should give me some leeway. Filling out the whole season, without knowing form, was pretty difficult I'll be honest. So, many things change during the course of a season, I'll just have to set a reminder.

I agree with you. It's something similar like broadcasting rights of tournament. Someone who comes first or offer most money, they win it.
Though, fantasy pool sounds like a good idea. Probably I wouldn't join it because of lack of time, but I think there would be enough interest for it.
P.S. Missed news about Betnomi pool. Do they plan to run it on Superbru or on their own website?

Liverpool were ready to break the clubs salary structure for Salah but couldn't up Mane's salary after all that Mane has done for the team clearly justify him leavings the club was the right decision. They don't appreciate him that much and doing all you said doesn't justify anything. I'm pretty sure more would had been done if it was Mo Salah in Mane's position. He would had been worshiped as usual.

You think Liverpool would had been were they are without Mane's input into the team. You're a fan and I'm sure you see all the works Mane put into his art. That guys is an African idol and shoudn't be treated like he has at Liverpool. I'm glad he left as now if he does as good as he was doing, he will be appreciated more. You are right absolutely but it was a team decision,maybe a wrong one but Liverpool made their choice over Mane to keep Salah there with them.We don't know how things will be in this upcoming season which starts just after more than couple of weeks from now but Mane for himself did a great signing with Bayern Munchen and in Bayern he will have a lot of possibilities to score an extreme number of goals because Bundesliga is clearly much easier to play for any player compared to the Premier League.
