I will have a very busy schedule with work and everything else, and I wish I could join all SB pools but this wont be easy, so I had to join this Premier League pool.
Entry fee paid and I already made my predictions for Round 1 on Superbru website.

Thanks for the reminder, just did mine too and I hope my pick favours me for the points and not let me down by allowing a weaker team to win.
First games of the season aren't the easiest to predict correctly because we don't have present stats to look at and our judgement will be based on past stats that might not be relevant.
Pre Season performance isn't something to rely on either but then looking at Manchester united performance against City, giving united the win just seems right. Goodluck to everyone.

I'm very excited that the Premier League is about to start again. Frankly, I have missed the Premier League very much when we think that Euro 2024 which was organized this summer was very boring as well. I'm quite curious about the performances of Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea this season.I think that Manchester United are going to win comfortably tomorrow.

I'm very excited that the Premier League is about to start again. Frankly, I have missed the Premier League very much when we think that Euro 2024 which was organized this summer was very boring as well. I'm quite curious about the performances of Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea this season.I think that Manchester United are going to win comfortably tomorrow.

I'm excited for tomorrow's game; no more boring weekends. There's always a surprise with Onana; I expect them to win, but not easily; Fulham on the first day will make it even more difficult for them. I'm tempted to go with a 2-1 CS at @7.20; low odd for such a risk but it's worth taking. ....


I'm bored of refreshing News for Osimhen and Felix updates; if it were some random youngsters from South America, the transaction would be done by now. We created too many opportunities last season without a competent striker to capitalise on them.

He seems to focus more on stirring up drama than his job to keep the ball out of his goal.

ETH has a special spot for his Ajax old school boys; they do everything and get away with it. Onana made so many mistakes at Ajax and got away with it, so I'm not surprised. Since his arrival, Onana has done more clowning, foolish blunders and caused more trouble than Sancho ever did.

I'm bored of refreshing News for Osimhen and Felix updates; if it were some random youngsters from South America, the transaction would be done by now. We created too many opportunities last season without a competent striker to capitalise on them.

Osimhen would be a good signing for you guys, you need a top striker. Despite all the money you’ve spent you don’t really have an elite goalscorer. Jackson is crap but Nkunku should do better this season, he was very unlucky with the injury.

So yeah, I think Osimhen would be a good buy but I would stay away from Felix. That brother has been floating around, failing on loan for years.

Yeah, but if I wanted to take a risk with the underdog, I will feel safer knowing a lot of people are taking a similar risk, if it goes south I do not lose too much ground. But when I am in the <2% percentile, I may not be so eager.

Thanks for the heads up, I was just caught up in the excitement of rejoining the pool. The last time I did something like this on the forum was 2019 I think. Next time I'll be more careful, the picks will be taken out of the discussion especially what others picks will not be hinted here too, my bad. Apologies everyone

Guess what, Todd Boehly isn't interested in these players that's why the deals aren't going smoothly, when it's a player of interest to him, he gets it done without anybody knowing anything. You'll just have to wake up with the news that, this or that player has been signed. The only reason this deals is getting more greenlight is because the coaching staff has given the greenlight and to make the fans happy, they're now going beyond their plans. Don't be surprised if the deal doesn't go through until the window close.

The depressing thing about Manchester united opening game is that even the coach went out in public to say team is not ready even before the ball is kicked, like wtf 

Maybe it's ETH playing mind games to take away the pressure from the team, but imo that's the worst approach you would go for to try get the boys ready to have some fun!
All in all I see this game going in favor of United with less than 2.5 goals to happen.

As there was Galatasaray's match, I couldn't watch the first half of the Manchester United-Fulham match. However when I saw the statistics I understood that I didn't miss so much thing. I think that Manchester United are going to be more effective in the second half. I hope that Smith-Rowe who is in my fantasy squad also makes a contribution of goal or assist.

They are even more depressing to watch, yep few more minutes until the game ended. Zirkzee scored on his debut in Old Trafford !

Few more minutes to go, at this rate Im just gonna pray that the players wont do anything stupid to let Fulham score. Im not happy with the game tonight but a win is a win so yeah thats good enough for today rather than watching Manchester United lose or draw

Felix had a good short loan spell at chelsea and Barcelona, I think he was just unlucky with both club bringing in new managers who doesn't want him not because he had a bad spell or something.

If Xavi had stayed I'm sure Felix would be at Barcelona.

I was hoping for Garnacho to play and score again, but he was playing good and he assisted for the goal after entering as substitution.
I think Garnacho should play in starting eleven for Man United.

I would have never guessed that it would be 1-0 or 0-0(was close). This match was screaming for goals before and during. Too many misses especially on Man Utd side but also surprised how good Fulham actually is. Will probobly pick them in the upcoming games to win for sure.

@Igetbotz always has the most spot on commentation on football in EPL lol Onana was lucky he did one good save (from highlights it looked good anyway) but rest of the time Casemiro and other defenders did well.

Have to say finally one Ajax guy brought a winner. Quite a sensation to debut and score to save your awful team from Day 1.

BTW OP how many prize spots do we have? Last season I thought 20, and ended up 10. Are we having the same now? I don't see anything in OP seems like very old info, maybe put the link there?

It is the same as last season for now, the info was shared in the sign up thread:

Sportsbet have very generously offered to sponsor the pool again with 0.1BTC jackpot and a 2 mbtc freebet for the highest weekly cap of each round, plus exclusive entry to Sportsbet's weekly promotions in Games & Rounds. 100% of the money in the pot will be split between the highest 1-10 places. How many places we pay and how much the prizes are will depend on how many people sign up.

We got 46 sign ups which is up there with amounts from previous pools, so I would expect it stays the same with top ten players winning prizes.

Last time I asked a similar question, was told we shall have 10 paying places which is not bad considering the size of the pool

But it's also not a bad idea to have this information deliberately updated in the OP to show it's a new season to avoid these questions

I watched the first half and in the 2nd half until 60th munities or so then I placed a bet before going out for a some real life things to catch up. Utd started with a full 3 points at the end and my bet was a winner too. Today I am planning to watch the full match between Ipswich and Liverpool. We need a good start.
