Couldn't watch the opener but stats were not putting me at ease, though cryptofrka assured me they would bring home the points -- and he was right. Salah now the record holder for opening day goals. Count his assists and it's a monster figure. Have to say, though, we have had a nice run of opening fixtures over the years.

Current batch of games makes me unhappy. I picked a lot of draws for the SB Jackpot so I think that selection's out the window. Saka, Mitoma, Wood, familiar faces.

Woodie starting Supebru with perfect 3 points, but this is going to be a long battle between 45 players  
Premier League started slower than I expected but we have a first goal this season scored by Zirkzee.
I was hoping for Garnacho to play and score again, but he was playing good and he assisted for the goal after entering as substitution.
I think Garnacho should play in starting eleven for Man United.

I'm new to this tournament. I think Woodie also managed to predict the 2nd game of Matchday 1 of 38 (Liverpool vs IT) correctly. As of now, Woodie has 6 points and is in the top spot. Only @Jayce who didn't got any point out of 45+ participants. lol

Hopefully, at the end of each matchday, we can have a mini tournament or a small prize for whoever has the top prediction of that matchday. Just a suggestion.

As of my predictions, let's just say got lucky with a few games but let's see how this goes after last game of the game day goes because we have a long way to go, and btw Mosala , Barcode, hosse, kanapka lead the way after failing to predict the Everton & Nottingham games 

Almost forgot, seems that Nottingham forest Vs Bournemouth was a given for a draw because several players had the draw and it sacks not to have predicted this

Was not so happy with how Liverpool started, but we ended the game well today. Tough to judge how good we are though, Ipswich is not a team that's on PL level.

A few of us are not that far behind, so it's better not to start thinking about how you're going to spend those 2 mBTC. 

Speaking of good starts, I'm pretty satisfied with my performance so far, considering it's my first time joining this pool. Let's see if it's just good old beginner's luck.

I noticed some illegal activity in this Superbru Premier Leagu pool, Cryptofrka is again on top of the leaderboard! This is corruption!!
Three more matches left in this round and things can change a lot, but I made a mistake making change in last moment with West Ham vs Aston Villa from 1:2 to 2:1  
Other predictions I made were fine but I was surprised to see such easy win for Brighton against Everton.

Noticed some patterns in the match day1 games that have been played so far. First game, the home team won and the next game the away side won. The pattern continued up till the Nottingham Forest vs Bournemouth game (since they had a 1:1 draw) but the next game kicked off from where the pattern stopped. Let see what other games are going to bring to the table. Results so far hasn't favoured me for an exact scoreline prediction but I'll get there eventually.

Ps: Don't take this too serious, just messing around to see what favours me lol.

We're all as surprised as you're (I know I'm surprised) because I thought the game was going to be a draw but congrats to Brighton and the new coach too. Brighton has an eye for good young coaches, good for them. Atleast they can always sell them to us (Chelsea) for profits.

First round is not good for me as I have only 8 points from last 7 games, but this could be better after few rounds.

It's going to be very interesting season as we have good and perfect start of the season for many teams.

Am pretty sure you feeling the pressure for heading a pack of 50+ members , and great start btw...and I think from the 7games I too had 4 games correctly predicted and still not enough for a top spot the level of competitiveness in this pool is out of this world!!

And just a quick question,  in a scenario where 2 or many players are tied for first place in a game week , do all players get the 2mb freebet

Am pretty sure you feeling the pressure for heading a pack of 50+ members , and great start btw...and I think from the 7games I too had 4 games correctly predicted and still not enough for a top spot the level of competitiveness in this pool is out of this world!!

If I am not wrong then we will be having share between two players those will be stood at the top after end of the round.

But still we have to wait for the official update from the @jeremypwr.

It is the same as last season for now, the info was shared in the sign up thread:

Sportsbet have very generously offered to sponsor the pool again with 0.1BTC jackpot and a 2 mbtc freebet for the highest weekly cap of each round, plus exclusive entry to Sportsbet's weekly promotions in Games & Rounds. 100% of the money in the pot will be split between the highest 1-10 places. How many places we pay and how much the prizes are will depend on how many people sign up.

Same as last season, yes, that info was discussed but never finalized. Last season we had IIRC 50+ players and discussed for 20 prize spots, but in the end it became 10, and actually we only discovered the prize amounts after the competition ended.

Last time I asked a similar question, was told we shall have 10 paying places which is not bad considering the size of the pool

But it's also not a bad idea to have this information deliberately updated in the OP to show it's a new season to avoid these questions 

Yes. I think we really need this. It is confusing for me as old player to find info, imagine how for a new player I know all of us don't care but I'm asking because I am thinking of new players or even people thinking about joining.

Lol. This is exactly how FTX pool punters analyse their draws: they look to event patterns and dates, rather than team form, to make their predictions. It was a really eventful day of football. I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but the excitement isn't there yet; all of the games I've seen have been boring so far. Let's see if Chelsea can deliver something amazing today.

Right, but I think it's possible that the prize will be shared between more than 10 people.

Just as it's been for the past few seasons, multiple winners = multiple Free Bets.
Regarding the prize structure, I usually leave that up to hilariousandco to decide (feel free to voice your opinions on this).

I am not sure, but since there are more than 50 people in the pool, we may have more than 10 winners.

This is why the places are not set in stone from the beginning. The expected pay out is to the top ten, can be extended if high number of people join. During the middle of the season when all buy ins should have been made the exact amount and placed are known.

50 players in in line with the average amount for previous seasons, I would expect it stays at 1-10 but we have to wait and see.

Jackson's offside track awareness is poor; these are basics that every striker should know. Despite seeing Palmer aiming to shoot, he remained offside. Lol If we had Osimhen, we would be 2-3 goals ahead in the first half.

Halaand had one chance and buried it, unlike Jackson. We're pressing hard, but not taking our chances will cost us in the end, but I believe the second half will be positive

It would have at least 2 - 1 by now in Chelsea's favor. I missed first 6 minutes of the 2nd half. Looking for an exciting game. City needs a bad start LOL
