Hey @everyone! We've been working hard behind the scenes, but we wanted to take a minute and share our current progress. As you all know Stonecoin was abandoned by the original dev some time ago, we formed a small group back in May and started the repair of the blockchain Mid June. Below you will find some of the items we have delivered in this short period which should shed some light on the team behind this gem.

- Community Takeover (June 2018 - Complete)
- New Discord Channel (Complete)
- New #roadmap (Published - always updating)
- New Github with expansive activity: https://github.com/stonecoinproject/Stonecoin
- Fixed the forking issues with Blockchain
- Wallets for Linux, Windows an Mac are updated (More to come)
- Auto Update for Wallets is implemented (From the original roadmap, this is HUGE)
- Masternode setup script is released (Nearly automated script - only one line in the VPS)
- Premine from previous Dev is locked now (Again very big for the future of the coin)
- CryptoBridge and StocksExchange upgraded to 2.0
- Masternode.online is updated
- Mining Pools are updated

For how long is the premine going to be locked and who is able to unlock it? Is it secured via a smart contract?

The original premine can never be unlocked, we have hard coded this into 2.0. However, the postmine will be used as mentioned in the ANN, the exact figures are still being discussed and we will have a community vote before full implementation.

Which characteristics of Stonecoin can make it competitive in dozens of NeoScrypt algorithm coins in crypto ecosystem?

If I read the new ANN correctly, the next update will change the neoscrypt to x16r

Besides switching to x16r as FreakCoder mentioned, we have also built a stand alone auto update that is unique to Stonecoin. We are the first I know of to use this method and it is across all platforms. We will have many more features like this during our first development phase, also if you have any requests of features you would like to see you can PM any one from the core team in Discord and we will put it on the idea board

There are some spelling mistakes in your ANN and some more detailed description with a better layout would be nice. Anyway the project looks nice and interesting, wish you the best luck!
With what hardware could you mine this Coin and be in profit? Asics allowed?

Thank you for the feedback ZipoZap, we only had a couple hours today to get it finalized. We had no idea the interest in Stonecoin would be this big so fast! However, the ANN will be treated as a living document and we will update it often. Watch for tweets and @everyone mentions of noteworthy changes to the ANN in Discord. Neoscrypt is a GPU mining algorithm, that correct me if I'm wrong does not have an Asic? Bit keep in mind we will be switching to x16r which is the same as Ravencoin, Motion, and a few others.

No, the project will not restart. It will continue on just upgraded. The switch is undergoing testing as we speak which has been going very well. We just want to make sure that it gets implemented as seamless as possible to avoid downtime and problems with the exchanges.

As promised we have more details for our upgrade implementation. A fork will occur on the current blockchain Friday, July 13, 2018 12:00:00 PM (GMT) all coins mined after will not be valid. We ask kindly that you shut down your pools and miners and take this time to setup your miners for x16r.

We will have our Friday, July 13, 2018 4:00:00 PM (GMT) we will have our new wallets available for download on our public GitHub. The upgrade will be seamless just backup your wallet.dat and run the new Qt wallet. For masternodes we will have the masternode script updated and ready to run that will automatically replace and setup your nodes to autorun.
