Future developers: Cryptocurrency or Blockchain Technology?

As a Computer Science student, one of our dreams is to become a successful developer. Both Cryptocurrency and blockchain technology amazed me and i can see that its still improving through the generation.

The question is, what should developers need to be more focused on their future projects, making a better cryptocurrency or developed a project that will maximize  the blockchain technology. Both of these fields are a contribution to the society, what's your thoughts in here?

cryptocurrency is limited to just moving funds.
however blockchain(open public ledger) and DLT(closed private ledger) are beyond cryptocurrency, but also include cryptocurrency as a subcategory.

so dont limit yourselves to just cryptocurrency.

for cryptocurrencies, the future is going to be where the UTXO is more protected and validatable separately amungst peers than now. to allow for a faster 'service' to validate/lock payments while they wait to be double locked into a blockchain.

and where the blockchain is prunable. which i can see as only a few supernodes would end up holding the entire full blockchain and then individuals get a
reduced version of the archived blockchain bar the most recent 6-12 months which would be full blockdata. and where the UTXO set wil be organised in such a way that that users are not waiting minutes for a 'confirm'/lock.

for blockchain /DLT, the future is going to be where the network is multichained, imagine it like the swift network where each bank branch has a chain for lets say 10,000 bank customers and then the network valudates the most recent blocks of each chain as a governnance audit of all the chains of the network to double strengthen the network while not having to have all nodes store all chains. thus reducing the data load of nodes. and thus allow speedier service to users.

the data does not have to be financial.
instead of bank branches of 10,000 customers chained. it could be
a medical practictioner office with 10,000 patients registered per chain and the data being their medical history.
a school/college of 10,000 students per chain and the data being their grades, attendance, etc

the important thing about where blockchain /DLT will be useful to solve issues. is in use cases where data NEEDS to be in more than one location.

many people foolishly create blockchains where the distribution of data is not about needing the data in multiple locations for data use. but putting the data in multiple locations purely to validat/lock data which is then only served/managed/displayed from one location/source (facepalm)

EG a guy asks his wife, kids and pet dog to double check the guys maths.. but in the end the guy then only shows his data at a central office presentation as the data itself is only useful in the office. meaning the wife,kids and dogs dont need to keep the data as its not something they need to see again after validating as its of no interest to them. thus wasting the families resources and time each keeping thee data after validaton

so if you want problems to solve. think about not creating blockchains where it makes random non interested parties validate it purely for security and then not need(no incentive) to see/use all the data later. but where multiple parties NEED to see/use all the data ongoing and they all are part of the validation, thus have incentive to keep/audit the data ongoing

EG not need all students to hold all records of every student for the rest of their lives, but where each school validates other schools and the schools hold the blockchain both for government auditing and student access of individual records.

blockchain technology. The discovery of blockhain technology was a breakthrough innovation second only to the discovery of the Internet. Blockchain is the mother of all technologies. Even Cryptocurrency runs on blockchain. If you simply focus learning cryptocurrency development, you'll only be a part of the financial domain. Whereas with blockchain, you get to explore each and every domain. And cryptocurrency is included in it!

So, go ahead with blockchain without any doubt.

Blockchain has made crypto currency a better place to invest in. It has given so many advantages to investors. Besides, people are more convenient with it to work. I hope this will bring more improvement to this field.

The crypto market is already completely overrun with so many coins that it's going to be nearly impossible for even a decent project to stand out. If you choose to focus on cryptocurrency development, you basically have two choices: you either create a revolutionary crypto that takes the market by storm (or work for a team that did), or you work for a failing project and go broke.

Blockchain technology, on the other hand, seems to still have plenty of untapped potential, along with a lot of future prospective work. I would personally go with blockchain technology all the way, though there's really nothing stopping you from learning about both.

This is exactly what this is. I do not believe cryptocurrency would go away because it does not exist on its own. It is founded on a technology and that technology is even further modified, used recently by different countries in different forms, plus banks are adopting it.

It seems to me that the problems of bitcoin in logistics. This is not a problem for programmers. Satoshi Nakamoto did not expect such a growth in popularity and was not ready for a large number of transactions. It seems to me that there is no point in constantly creating new coins. It is better to develop existing projects.

Definitely blockchain technology! The scope of crypto currency is very limited and we already have more than thousands of crypto currencies available in the market with no use. So developing a new crypto currency makes no business sense, at least to me. Instead, leveraging on blockchain technology will make more sense as well as it will develop new application of blockchain technology.

Blockchain technology is still at a nascent stage and the world didn't yet realize the actual power of blockchain. A lot of research and development work is needed on that. Creating new crypto currency will just add another new coin in the list with the same use as of other currencies. But developing a blockchain technology and leveraging different side of it will have more deeper and meaningful impact on the society!

Don't make walls for yourself;) Just find an interesting project and start working) Now there is very small quantity of pure of crypto coins now. Most new projects now include everything on their blockchain.

Personally I'd start with the basics of cryptography and proceed with delve deeper into the realms of the blockchaiu. Normally before getting involved in blockchain developing, some cryptography concepts should be understood and correctly followed in order to ensure that the security of your project is tightly-knitted with little to no loopholes around. Also, learning such would benefit you in the long run, given that large companies and financial institutions are eyeing blockchain and DLT applications on their services, so creating cryptocurrencies or developing one would only be a side-job in case.

I think in the future it will be more profitable again if the amount is greater than the current, maybe for this time do not sell too much now because the future will probably be even greater the amount of sales

Don't add an altcoin that will be not usable for most and will become as a pump and dump which will result to a dead coin soon. Study more about blockchain technology and become a blockchain developer, there will be more opportunity for you in the future because of it's emergence. You can contribute better if you will focus on blockchain developing with companies not with crypto's, the crypto market is crowded with so much altcoins.

If I am given 2 choices, I will choose to be a Developer for Blockchain technology. Because Blockchain has wider space than Cryptocurrency. If Blockchain can be useful to many people, it will make me happy.

Cryptocurrency is digital electronic cash system that uses blockchain technology to be hack-proof and build decentralized peer to peer connection. So actually cryptocurrency is using one of the function of Blockchain. Thats why I prefer to be a developer of blockchain.

Yes, this is a good question. My opinion is to develop new concept through blockchain architecture. Blockchain concept is the most amazing development nowadays for secure and distributed solutions or applications.
