Bitcoin is still the king of cryptocurrency and the rest are just alternative coins. All the profits of this altcoins are just the faucet for the bitcoin to go strong. I do not really know what is the scheme for bitcoin and other altcoins but i bet that these altcoins are basing bitcoin market price movement. And that is why bitcoin could never be dethrone by other crypto but altcoins could achieve what bitcoin has achieve and i am seeing ethereum has a lot of potentials but it cannot dethrone bitcoin for now.

Yes, even though there are altcoins that are etehruem based, i might say they helped those people to earn bitcoin. As you can see, altcoins price even etheruem is affected with bitcoin crisis, when its price goes down, Etheruem etc.. price is also riding the wave of bitcoin,. |

Bitcoin has been the standard in the crytpo world. As we can see, the value of altcoins largely depend on the market value of bitcoin. When bitcoin's price increase, altcoin's price also rise. Etheruem is secon in line in terms of price and bitcoin is still far ahead. Dethroning bitcoin is not happening anytime soon.

the altcoin bag holders will never accept that. they want to believe that their coin can grow as much as bitcoin did but they close their eyes over everything else that led to that bitcoin price rise. important matters such as having real usage in the real world as a real currency. or having a high security, being decentralized and a hundreds other reasons.

i disagree. bitcoin can be "dethroned" and replaced. if the altcoins spend the money they are spending on advertising and pump and dumps they can eventually create something good. but instead we only have shitcoins, for instance ethereum is the best example. it is only advertisement and empty promises while it is getting pumped and dumped. people keep competing it with bitcoin and consider it bitcoin's competition where in fact it is not even a currency to compete with bitcoin!!! |

What do you mean by the most perfect crypto in the world? How could you say that? There is no perfect things in the world. Talking about the dethroned to bitcoin, i would say everything is possible but personally i think it will not happen as long as the people are continuing created shitcoins. |

It makes sense to be used as an excuse to strengthen the current bitcoin even in the future because everyone who trades or invests altcoin has only one main goal to get more bitcoin from the benefits of investing in altcoin so that with the goal the bitcoin will not be able to be surpassed by altcoin as long as it continues to be the main objective of the investors to earn profits in the future. |

There just so much wrong with this statement, first of all you're generalizing way too much in my opinion. Not all altcoins are the same, you do have altcoins which serve purposes that Bitcoin doesn't provide. Just one example is Steem, you can about it what you will, but it is pretty unique in what it does and it's used for more than just investment purposes. There are a lot more examples, even Ethereum, not a fan of it myself but it does have interesting features. |

The current rise of other cryptos, -and if we add that many people who want to get into crypto don't choose the bitcoin as the first, means for me that the bitcoin is in danger, but I don't think that will be dethroned or even surpassed! Is a moment or a pause for the first crypto and, I think that bitcoin will stay the KING.

Most altcoins are like this but some serve a very real purpose. If you've visited the dark web recently you will see that most merchants only take Monero now. It's too easy to track bitcoin transactions so privacy coins do serve a very real purpose. |

I do believe this so because there is only one dominant crypto in the market and that crypto has the huge market price value compared to other altcoins crypto. This is why bitcoin could not be dethrone exactly what you said is right. Those crypto are just altcoins for bitcoin to grow and get stronger. There is no way that these altcoins could surpass bitcoin.

I wish that people will be able to realize how important to have bitcoin and should dump it for altcoins. As we all know that bitcoin is the main crypto the dominant which is being stated in the thread and i strongly agree with it. As one day those altcoins investments will go back again to bitcoin to exchange it and gain more bitcoins as their altcoins goes strong and to be exchange and gain more bitcoins.

It is true that Bitcoin has gained momentum and growth over the years due to the first mover advantage. However, there are some other factors which make Bitcoin great. Any other coin might replace Bitcoin if it comes up with an equivalent or more user base, trade volume, utility value and growth rate. However, at this stage, I don't see any other coin having that potential to replace Bitcoin at least in near future.

This will not happen because bitcoin is the main crypto and all others are just altcoins to bitcoin. Yeah the market price for altcoins will going to move if there are also movement for bitcoin market price. So investors should look upon on bitcoin and not on altcoins. And it is better to hold bitcoins that holdings altcoins.
I don't think that's going to happen for another reason. The cryptocurrency market is very balanced. If altcoins exist then this is a necessity and is supported by demand. It is impossible to violate the laws of the economy with impunity. Bitcoin's image is high because it was the first. But altcoins have their benefits and therefore will always have bitcoin. |
