$50,000 or $80,000 for a electric car. There are filters available which can be fitted in exhaust pipe of petrol/gasoline and diesel cars. These filters remove carbon from car emissions. Petrol and diesel cars can also environment friendly.

Carbon dioxide emissions have been linked to all sorts of environmental ills. Improvements in car design are helping the issue, but the CO2ube Kickstarter project wants to take carbon dioxide filtration to any car on the road. The CO2ube attaches onto the end of your tailpipe using hose clamps. A combination of algae and sodium hydroxide filters out the carbon dioxide as it exits from car. A single CO2ube is going for a pledge price of $45. The company behind the product, Ecoviate, has created working prototypes and is looking to produce the device in quantity. A smartphone app is also intended to accompany the CO2ube. The app would let you track your emissions over time.

Touted by some as the planet’s greenest vehicles, electric Teslas may be as bad for the environment as traditional petrol and diesel cars, the latest research reveals.According to researchers at the UK-based climate data provider Engaged Tracking, the production of Tesla cars, as well as fossil fuel-powered plants used for generating electricity to charge the vehicles produce nearly the same amount of emissions that conventional engines do.

Engaged Tracking analysts used a different approach to studies that usually produce favorable results for electric vehicles. They explored the total emissions generated during the construction process of a Tesla Model S instead of counting how much CO2 is produced by the vehicle during its lifecycle. The astonishing results show that a Tesla is not cleaner to run than any other petrol car in Britain.

“The annual emissions of a UK car is 1.5 tons of carbon dioxide, based on an average of 7,800 miles a year,” the research firm’s chief analyst Jonathan Harris told The Sunday Times. “Both the Tesla Model S vehicles we analyzed have the same emissions as an ordinary petrol car of 1.5 tons of CO2 per year.” The researcher also compared Tesla Model S to the BMW i3, which is smaller and produces an annual emission equivalent of 1.3 tons of CO2, making it 15 per cent more efficient than the Tesla Model S.According to Tesla, the comparison between the Model S and an average car was not fair, because the Tesla was much larger. The company said that the BMW i3 should be compared to its smaller car - the Model 3, while Model S should compete with such a vehicle as the Mercedes S-Class S500. Tesla claims Mercedes produces nearly 300 percent more emissions than its Model S.

co2 is safe... all the rest of combustion aren't... NO2 for example.

When the people of the world will get that covid was intentionally released to frame china, steal the election from trump, assure massive bail outs and foster the forced vaccination agendas...they will forget, like 911, wmds in irak, uss liberty or pedogate.

co2 isn't toxic but it is a greenhouse gas.

so are you saying people should fall for this?

Read the whole article. It's good.

Beyond belief: Meet the 5,221-horsepower, battery-powered Bulgarian Batmobile

Born of a Bulgarian company nobody's ever heard of before, the Arcanum lays down the longest, brashest and most ridiculous set of promises I have ever seen in a press release. And boy, have I seen some press releases, folks.

Alieno's very first car, if these statements are to be believed, will instantly become the fastest, most powerful and most technologically advanced production car on the planet, with daylight second, and then another daylight, and a late lunch, and then the rest of the field.

Sounds like an interesting product.

I always found electric cars a bit confusing. You need to create that electricity in a plant that might be a cole or natural
gas and be just as bad for the environment as a gas car in the end. Depends on how the got that power.

How Diesel Locomotives Work

The hybrid diesel locomotive is an incredible display of power and ingenuity. It combines some great mechanical technology, including a huge, 12-cylinder, two-stroke diesel engine, with some heavy duty electric motors and generators, throwing in a little bit of computer technology for good measure.

This 270,000-pound (122,470-kg) locomotive is designed to tow passenger-train cars at speeds of up to 110 miles per hour (177 kph). The diesel engine makes 3,200 horsepower, and the generator can turn this into almost 4,700 amps of electrical current. The four drive motors use this electricity to generate over 64,000 pounds of thrust.

In every progress that we see, in every advancement that we feel, and in every thing that we do to grow, we must not forget the environment. Changes and developments are not bad. However, we must not compromise the condition of our environment. One way we could possibly do that is to continue working with innovation such as choosing for a USD 50,000 electric car or USD 45 carbon filter. I think that it is hard for many of us to switch in electric cars and buy a new one. However, it doesn't mean that we cannit do something and buying a carbon filter is one. Practical and obviously cheaper that an electric car. We need to act now for the environment and I think carbon filters is the solution for the sense of urgency we need for the environmental solution. People will be motivated more to help the environment if it is at a low cost.

I think that the $45 filter is a cool temporary help but in the long run we should be moving to electric cars.

That being said, Im curious as to the source of energy that is used to charge that electric car. If it is coal or nuclear power than I really think we should be working towards something else. That isn't to say that we need to immediately kill all those jobs that coal and nuclear power create but transition to something else. The sooner the better.

Electric cars and ICE cars now come with same price tags in most of the world. Chinese and Indians are going to ride an electric car for as less as $10000 this year.
Ranges are increasing to meet that of ICE and the gas price is already cheaper.
It's good for both the pocket and the planet.

I am very skeptical about the real effect of the filter on cars emissions, I mean, this carbon dioxyde can be filtered and kept somewhere but it cannot be destroyed so simply just with a $45 filter or we would have no more global warming problem if it was that simple, it seems like a scam to me but maybe it help a little bit. Anyone knows how it could really work ?

I fully support your opinion.
In my country (Ukraine) very few people can afford to spend 50,000 dolars on an electric car. But even I can afford to buy a filter for 500 dolars a year to save the environment.
P.S. If we are not indifferent to our planet - no matter how much we start saving it ...

Except most countries dont have the electrical infra structure in place deal with the additional capacity required.

When they have perfected solid state batteries that recharge in minutes with a decent range I may consider it in the future (when attached to supercar)

Until then ill stick with my screaming V10 + flat 6.

Teslas may produce as much CO2 as gasoline powered cars

Touted by some as the planet’s greenest vehicles, electric Teslas may be as bad for the environment as traditional petrol and diesel cars, the latest research reveals.According to researchers at the UK-based climate data provider Engaged Tracking, the production of Tesla cars, as well as fossil fuel-powered plants used for generating electricity to charge the vehicles produce nearly the same amount of emissions that conventional engines do.

“The annual emissions of a UK car is 1.5 tons of carbon dioxide, based on an average of 7,800 miles a year,” the research firm’s chief analyst Jonathan Harris told The Sunday Times. “Both the Tesla Model S vehicles we analyzed have the same emissions as an ordinary petrol car of 1.5 tons of CO2 per year.”The researcher also compared Tesla Model S to the BMW i3, which is smaller and produces an annual emission equivalent of 1.3 tons of CO2, making it 15 per cent more efficient than the Tesla Model S.

According to Tesla, the comparison between the Model S and an average car was not fair, because the Tesla was much larger. The company said that the BMW i3 should be compared to its smaller car - the Model 3, while Model S should compete with such a vehicle as the Mercedes S-Class S500. Tesla claims Mercedes produces nearly 300 percent more emissions than its Model S. “It makes no sense to compare Model S to the average annual emissions figure for cars in the UK, because that average includes a lot of smaller models that are dissimilar to Model S,” the company said as quoted by the media. “'Any fair analysis shows that electric vehicles like Model S and Model 3 generate far less CO2 per mile than any comparable gas-powered car.”

Why did you just copy and paste the exact same post you did in the first reply to this thread? I must say that this is a great point though. The production of electric vehicles definitely takes a toll on the environment, just as the production of any vehicle. You also have to take into account the fact that with an electric car you also have a huge battery to dispose of when you're done with it. In most parts of the world it's funny to buy an electric car to "save the environment", then charge it with electricity that what produced in fuel-powered plants. Over time renewable energy will become more widespread across the whole world and production will become more advanced. Although, at present, electric cars are not the answer to all the earths problems, I think it's a good step in the right direction. I don't know much about carbon filters, but if it'll really help you emit less CO2, sounds like an okay idea, though I won't how much carbon is emitted by creating the filters and transporting them to you.

Tech giants like Tesla, Uber, or Spotify are making less and less profit at the moment and experts are worried about their impact on the world. Are we seeing a new economic bubble in the making? RT’s Daniel Bushel finds out.
American tech corporations are often making headlines nationwide and internationally, although their own performance is far from perfect. They lose more and earn less, and experts warn of a potential “bubble” looming in the horizon.

Tesla, Elon Musk’s flagship company, is worth more than Ford or GM, but produces only a small number of cars. Spotify, a music streaming service, as well as Uber, are losing billions of dollars every year.

Anyone knows how it could really work ?

carbon dioxide in filters will be like ash from wood fire. Ash is good fertilizer for plants and trees.

The product as described cannot work.

Any other questions?

It is all about the game and how you play it.

No it isn't about the game and how you play it.

It's about a completely fraudulent device that does nothing, which is alleged to do very specific things, by some people seeking investment capital.

It works for 4 weeks?

Eigth grade chemistry will show this is false. Look only at the purported chemical reactions, then to the molar volume of gasoline, the output molar volume of CO2, and the amount of NAOH....
