Unfortunately, he has been given several steps he can take to prove the bar is real and hasn’t. So I believe this venture to be a waste of time.  He HAS an iPhone and could have taken 5 minutes to verify the bar.  He likely would have gotten $400+ more for it if he had.

I'm sure it's genuine.  Why would he sell it at a local pawn shop for $1,300 when he could get $800 and the opportunity to pay shipping and escrow fees while trusting some strangers?

It's easy enough to send it to a trusted escrow who has the tools to verify the metal content.

Minerjones , myself or lesbiancow can test this bar easily.

If anyone has any doubts about its authenticity, I would not solely rely on a scan on packaging as that can easily be replicated or faked.

If the seller agrees to have the bar tested as part of the sale , then I see no issues , if not then id steer clear.

This has 2 conclusions most likely, its real and he doesnt contact back cause he doesnt like the sell price or its fake and he gets a hold of you hoping to sell you an alibaba bar worth six dollars

The serial numbers are too small to be REAL...  see for yourself

I didn't download the veriscan app, but using a QR code reader on my phone I don't see any serial number info for the bar.  Took me a few seconds...  Be careful.

Can confirm, no serial number to be found in the QR code.
