I also saw in the telegram that one of the ICO projects asks to list the merit to their manager.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1139852

It can be seen how the manager fixed this post in the telegram.

Could you provide a link where the account owner admits to own that telegram account? because somebody else could easily set them up and buy them a negative trust.

However, asking someone to admit a fault worthy of punishment wouldn't be easy. Would a criminal admit his crimes? No. I think not.

They can't be seriously paying $25 per Merit, right? I'd say it's much more likely to be a scam.
At $25 per Merit, a Member account is valued $250, and a Legendary at $25000. It just doesn't make any sense.

Update: these numbers would mean I gave away approximately $10k worth of Merit Cheesy

Then how'd you suggest we could link that telegram account to a Bitcointalk account? we can't just tag somebody based on similarities between telegram username and forum username.

That means theymos created millions of dollars out of nothing, sound familiar? Cheesy

Totally agree. I don't really have any other suggestion on how should we address this matter but i'm just saying that making him say that he's guilty of his crimes would be hard. Anyways, OP, you should try and ask him personally. Or just trick him into revealing his identity (should be plausible).

Is that all? I can see that one member "Ristic" got a tag from Vod, is there any other account related to goalbonanza that we need to get them a tag as well? I hope that justice is now served for you guys, sorry that you got scammed and never got paid by these people.

Note that Ristic just edited his post today to avoid getting caught, I bet that they have changed their telegram link in the edited post. it means they are guilty and their tag is legit.

What you need to do: quote every single post and add another quote with translation, everybody active on local boards please do this and help the community, we have at least one merit source(suchmoon) who is meriting these kinds of reports if they are accurate.

Crazy to think about, isn't it?  But no, I don't think merits are going for that much.  I think $5 is what I've seen them going for, and even that is way too frigging high.  That just reinforces the point that having a high-ranked account is amazingly lucrative for a certain segment of the world.  It's unfortunate that I'm living in a country where sig campaign earnings don't allow me to live like a pimp--maybe if I enrolled 20 accounts in campaigns I'd be onto something....

It's a good thing that merits aren't anonymous, else we'd have much, MUCH more abuse going on.

Maybe it is there way of attracting members into biting their deal, the more attractive the price the more chances they will find a member willing to be fooled by the offer. And of course the twist is at the end is there is no money involve, what will just happen is you just have given your merits freely and there is nothing you can do about it as you cannot report that a scam has took place because selling your merits is not allowed in the first place. And judging by the difference of its BCT username and his Telegram Username I think the merits to be bought is intended for a different account.
