Does anyone have any add nodes for this wallet?

The sync is very slow Sad.

Just leave it on for a few hours and it might find more connections. Mintcoin is getting more popular, after so many years. Hopefully the Mintcoin Team is working on promoting the coin. It would be great if this one makes a revival.

I've had it open for 4 days straight and it's about 1/5th through. It's the slowest sync I've ever seen. It's currently got 8 connections.

MINT has a huge blockchain. About 6Gb now. It's take time to sync.

We should do something to develop this coin.

If we will do something to develop this coin, we will see another price!  Lips sealed Cheesy

As with any cryptocurrency project, MINT devs team, need to stay in touch with the community, and promote the vision and strategy of project development. A community around a coin without an active communication of dev team is not possible to grow the value of coin. Without a community any cryptocurrency project does not have a future, even if the price goes up from time to time. Good luck!

Has anything actually happened with the coin to justify the price jump ?

Hello MintyAllDay - Happy 2018 to you and the rest of the Mint-Crew here on Bitcointalk threads.
I had to go back to J-O-B after a week off so that was hard - but nice watching the Mint trading volume/price today.
Exciting Day!

Originally i got interested in  MINT because of the good interest that it paid (10% in those days) - it was a POS and seemed like a good bet. I was also running Linux Mint OS and keyed into the name connection - it seems they were linked a bit in the past. The rewards did reduce to the 5% it pays out now in MINTing rewards  but I'm sure the original intent of design was that the coin value would increase to where the profits would be good. This is the same way Bitcoin mining rewards reduce over time till they are no longer needed. The focus shifting to huge volume & value in transaction-fee-rewards.

I think what we are seeing right now is what could be called "The DUST Effect". Small-Small amounts of crypto are becoming more valuable as crypto-cap starts to moon. I had a tiny amount of forgotten BTC left on my account at NiceHash when it got hacked. With BTC at $20k that wee bits was worth over $100 - who would guess? MINT is doing the same thing, even 1 satoshi has really gained in value & there is no stopping it. The USD/MINT chart is getting crazy and it is due to mooning of those little Satoshis.

So here is my outlook for 2018:
1) BTC (or whatever coin flippins with it) needs to go 7 X to $100,000.
2) Our Mint needs to reach 1000 Sat.
------------------
MINT will be a $1 coin

My plan is to kick back, keep cranking up my MINT- MINTing machine, and just watch it happen.
Would love to find any way to help MINT in some way going forward...

I'm considering buying because who knows what 2018 brings into this coin. It's price has risen recently and might give me good profits since it still have huge trading volume.

Does anyone have any add nodes for this wallet?

The sync is very slow Sad.

Here are some add nodes.

Quote
addnode=79.124.7.72:12788
addnode=144.76.237.39:12788
addnode=82.211.60.130:12788
addnode=108.167.46.93:12788
addnode=158.69.27.82:12788
addnode=81.146.57.173:12788
addnode=184.7.192.21:12788
addnode=92.24.190.15:12788
addnode=72.226.24.176:12788
addnode=89.18.27.179:12788

I suggest using the zipped mintcoin blockchain download from cryptochainer together with those addnodes to sync faster.

http://108.61.216.160/cryptochainer.chains/chains/MintCoin_blockchain.zip

The website provides zipped blockchain downloads for numerous cons.

Are you sure it's crashed, or does it seem to freeze? If it freezes it could be indexing the blockchain, and that can take over ten hours because there's so many blocks in it.

is there anyway I can do it in sections as opposed to the whole thing leaving my PC running for 10 hours on the basis that it may or may not have crashed? Or is there a way to Add nodes to download the blockchain faster. I have no idea how to add the nodes if you could help that'd be great

I don't know of any way to sync in sections. The only way I know is leaving your PC running for hours. There's a tutorial explaining how to add nodes here.

Same here, I already asked for addnodes but it doesn't appear anybody has them.

I'm at half sync now about about 6 days straight.
